Regardless of response, I write things tha many do not want to read. As for stimulation and emotional appeal, those have never been my goals. As for opinions, positive or negative, I would continue my search for those who think independently. When responses are compliant with political agendas, I get bored. If no one challenged me, I might not have any reason to get motivated and into the events of the day. This post asks the important wquestion, "to what purpose?". This is my answer.

There are many serious writers here, George. The more serious ones are not here for the social aspect as much as they are for the intellectual or creative one. But all peoples come here for their own reasons, with their own separate agendas. I guess I was trying to say that while there may always be annoying things about this place, one of the beauties of it is that we are all able to be here. And even though there may be the occasional obnoxious blogger, there are plenty of other people to read if you choose to put your attention there. Personally, I never check the pops list anymore. It keeps my blogging life a lot more simple.

I,too, get annoyed at the mountain of whiny blogs here. But,too, we have to remember that this is an open free site to all(without advertising). And I think of the high caliber and/or funny blogs I find daily and it shifts my outlook.
Most of the idiots are short term and move on, while most of those that stay, only get better and become a member of a tight community- respectful and understanding of each other and their talents. It's all good!

It's not Thoughts.com - it's not even the internet - it's just the human race. Wherever we go, online or off, there are people we personally consider idiots. The trick is to be able to tune them out before they raise our blood pressure - and that's easier said than done.

Every dog has their day a time or two or hundred. I've complained myself. Then it dawned on me....I am just as guilty of being an ass as they next blogger. I wish I wasn't, though we all know what's been said about that. Wish in one hand and @%^&( I felt one colorful metaphor was plenty) in the other, see which gets full first. I can attest to of having many hand fulls in my life. Wishes? What are those?

You've brought up a great point, pitapie. Many times, the mood swings we watch online are a direct result of real life conflicts that people are dealing with which we cannot see. It's always good to keep this in mind. We do indeed all have our turn at steering the idiot train. And no need to welcome me, for I am indeed little more than recycled waste. ;)

Unforgotten, I think thoughts.com is just showing its cross of humanity. If we were all the same, it would be a very boring world, and a very boring thoughts.com. I welcome anybody and everybody..Come one, come all..We need the entertainment they bring to the table. :)
