i have loved and lost because of a previous lover he had and honestly justing knowing i can feel and even though now it's hard to think love is great because i am resentful, i believe my journey with love was a good one.. so it's better to have loved and lost...

Having lived for the better part of 60 years has allowed me the privilege of knowing what it means to be loved and to love someone. I agree that life without love is shallow and meaningless but there are many types of love so let's say it's subjective.... and analyse what the true meaning of life is about.... to be continued.

I think people are meant to experience love. It's sad to know that there are people out there who are so guarded that they never allow themselves to fall in love. They are never going to be happy unless they take that risk. Because being in love is the greatest risk you can take with someone. And when that love is trampled on... it hurts (OMG it hurts bad!) And you feel like life is not worth living.... But you remember that feeling of living on cloud9 and you realise it wasn't all that bad and you move on to love again....
Anyway... before I get carried away... Has anyone ever noticed how much healthier someone looks when they are in love????

it is an oximoron to say "it is better to have loved and lost that than to have never loved at all." Real Love is something that comes after years of ups and downs,pains and pleasures and is best shown by an old couple walking down the park trail holding hands with an occassional kiss with wrinkled withered lips. This is true love because the young are not equiped to know true love because it taks years of nurturance to bloom.

When you are in love. I mean LOVE. You would never regret it. You probably had some great times with that person. So, I believe, " it is better to have loved and lost then to never have loved at all. Besides, if you loved at lost, there is more time to bring that love back

My boyfriend of four years just broke up with me out of the blue, I would give anything to forget him completely.. so i say its better to be loved only if you never have to loose :(

What happens happens. I think everything happens for a reason. I don't believe in worrying about a love I have lost, I just look for a new one.

Better to have loved. Practice makes perfect. I think the best way to love is without conditions or clinging. Most of us are pretty rusty at that kind of love. Better to have loved. We get better at it each time.

I don't think you actually lose in the end because you can learn from what went wrong in that relationship to make the next one stronger. I think you actually gain if anything.

I believe that it is alwasys better to experience something than never to because then you are eqiupped with the experience necessary to make it better and make it work on the next occassion. When in a relationship, never make it a whole part of you..... i mean do not have the notion that you can not live without that person because you can.......relationships are fun and that is where love is meat to come in......when it starts going bad, you break it off........its always better to be friends than enemies.

I think it is better. Though sometimes we wish that we were never able to love, it's always good for a blind date or someone like that to know that you have tried your hand at love but are willing to take another whack at it, because you won't quit at looking for Mr. or Mrs. Right.
