I've always wondered what people got out of life. Why are we living it, why is it even called life? If there is a god, why is he making us live it? What do human beings now think about when someone says life? We do it to survive? But why when we going to die anyways? And if there is ever a way to make us immortal, really, who the hell would want to live for forever? We reproduce so our race will survive, but why? Why do we do it? Scientist says it's instinct, right? But why do we have it programmed into us that we have to?
I always have thought of life as kids go to school to get an education. Then college to get a better education to get a better job. We want a better job so we can get more money so we can buy more material possessions. Then we die everyone wants more stuff, flashy cars, easier electronics, everything. And even if I don't like to admit that I care about material possessions instead of love and nature and whatever. I really don't think there is someone out there who doesn't care about material objects.
However, lately I keep struggling with having love for life, but what about the torture and sadness? Is that really worth living for? Maybe I don't see it right now, have to wait for that love. But what if I never fall in love? What if that's not even fucking real? I found out life, life isn't just about material objects and money. At least a bit isn't. It all revolves around it. Life is eating, breathing, being thankful, smiling, your wedding, high school graduation, running with your girlfriend or boyfriend, kissing, looking out at the sun and knowing today is going to be a good day.
I want all of these things and so much more. And even the depressed and suicidal people, I know they want this too. Everyone does. To live life happily. I'm just thankful to live. And I hope you are too. No matter where, no matter how bad your life is, it'll get better. Even if you really don't believe, just say it. I love life. And thank you, thank you everyone for making it that way.
