 This is me.
Who I am

This is not a normal Journal entry; in fact, I wouldn’t even consider this an entry at all. I’d like to tell someone, other than myself, of who I am.

My name is Benjamin T. Vinicky. I am about six foot tall with dark brown hair that is considerably curly when not kept short. My nails are poorly trimmed and because of an annoying habit, some have even been chewed on a little. I have deep brown eyes which have been said to look wise although some of my actions prove otherwise on almost a daily basis. My eyebrows are rather thick, an aspect of myself I find rather unattractive. My tone of voice is slightly high which makes me sound younger over the phone. I am of Russian and Italian decent; Russian from my father, Italian from my mother and my nose shows this. I am of course then, white, with dry hands but otherwise decent skin. I weigh in at about 164 lbs and am relatively new to being twenty-one years old. This is what I look like.

I live with three others in a rented house in Redmond, Washington. One of them is my brother, Matt, and the two others are a couple I met last year. I play video games, watch movies, cook, clean, shower every morning and when I think I’m alone, can even sometimes sing. In my room I have two wall scrolls from Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. One is of Cloud, the other, Sephiroth. I also have a small manga collection featuring Death Note, Hellsing, and Judas. I have a small twin sized bed with a small bed stand. On the bed stand I have an alarm clock and a Lava lamp. In the opposite corner I have this computer and printer sitting on a cluttered desk. I work a swing shift starting from 2:30pm to 11pm. Usually I get up early and head to Tully’s café to read a book and relax before a long and stressful day at work. Someday I would like to be able to come here and work from the laptop which I don’t have.

I am intellectual to an extent, stubborn as hell, and have a strong need to learn. I often spend a long part of the day just imagining all kinds of things, dwelling on my past and worrying about the future. I am young in most ways and will admit it, however, that said I also believe that in many manners I am mature. As most people think this of themselves too, I won’t argue the matter, in fact, I could easily be wrong. I understand how many people work on a psychological level and find myself fall into the same scenario with many people I meet. I try to help them overcome their own barriers; to fix them. It is something that I scold myself for and yet acknowledge that it is not in me to turn my back on someone who I think I can help. I have a positive outlook on most of life and because of it have been called childish, stupid, ignorant, naïve and everything else you can think of. I am this way because I believe in life and its ability to adapt, to change, to overcome obstacles in any way that it can. Most people shun the human race, I believe it has potential.

I am a “man of science”, which has influenced my outlook on life dramatically. I do not believe in any religiously perceived “god” nor anything supernatural that lacks any possible proof yet I am inexplicably drawn to the idea of it. To be honest I love the idea of unexplainable things, especially when a movie or book tries to explain it.

There’s much more, but it’s late and I’m exhausted so I would like to thank you for reading this. I’ll write more later but until then, peace!
