THE COMMANDMENTS;TICKET to IMMORTALITY!
If they don't speak according to the Old & New Testament, then there is no truth in them!
There is no one alive today older than 150yrs old so why do we think that our premature minds have the ability to conform God to our image. What you think is only important to you. Opinions are like "I need not say", so why do we respect some an shun others? My guess would be for filthy lucre sake. Why else would these false prophets create institutions like schools for theology. They are telling you that you have to go to school to understand how to read the word of god to insure that you don't teach contrary to what they believe. It is a common salvation, meaning that anybody that knows how to read have the opportunity to learn the truth and save himself. Have you ever needed to go to a special school to learn how to read all other books on an individual basis. The bible will tell you how to recognize a real preacher from the false prophet. A real preacher will teach wisdom, knowledge and understanding and will never give opinion, just the word.
Ecclesiastes 12:9-10
9And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs.
10The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth.
Here we see that a preacher will search the scriptures and select scriptures concerning what he is teaching and not give his opinion. Gods word can deliver the message and is of no private interpretation.
Luke 24:25
25Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
Why does the Lord say things like this? Because people like to pick apart the bible and take what they like and throw away what they don’t like. For example, you have certain people that call themselves “New Testament” Christians because they don’t believe in the Old Testament. These people don’t have enough sense to realize that there was no New Testament in the days of Paul and the rest of the apostles. All the apostles preached the word from Genesis to Malachi which is the Old Testament. The New Testament was written by these guys because because they were witness to what was written in the Old Testament. These apostles TESTIFIED that the Old Testament was real.
Proverbs 1:22-33
22How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
Some will say that they don't hate knowledge but try to show them the truth and you will receive opposition from all directions. Use Christmas for an example,
Many rational minded people know that the customs and traditions associated with christmas are completely ficticious but will argue all sorts of opinionated views and never have any doctrine(written word) or facts to support their arguement. All those that claim to be servants of Christ and or believers should follow what he says and not someone elses or even their own opinion. If what you believe concerning Jesus isn't backed up by the Bible then you are believing in a lie.
John 5:44-47
44How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?
45Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.
46For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me; for he wrote of me.
47But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?
This is what we did then and are still doing in our time; giving honor and respect to man made doctrines and traditions, rubbing elbows with all that want to agree to alter the word because we don't want to offend nonbelievers. Moses wrote the first 5 books in the Old Testament and the Lord said that you can’t believe him if you don’t believe Moses.
Luke 24:44-45
44And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
45Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
1 John 2:1-7
1My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
3And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
7Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.
This is scripture from the New Testament telling you that it is the same thing in the Old Testament.
Psalm 119:97-100, 104-106, 127
97O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.
98Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me.
99I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.
100I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts.
104Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.
105Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
106I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments.
127Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.
Isaiah 8:16, 20
16Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.
20To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
If you want to know if someone is teaching you the truth concerning the word then they must be able to show you the same thing being said in the Old and New Testament. The Law is the old and the Testimony is the New Testament.
Romans 7:5-14, 22-25
5For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
6But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
7What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
8But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.
9For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.
10And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.
11For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.
12Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.
13Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
14For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin
22For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
23But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
25I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
Deuteronomy 4:5-6, 39-40
5Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.
6Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
39Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.
40Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, for ever
John 14:15
15If ye love me, keep my commandments.
This needs no expansion. Obviously you must hate him if you don’t keep them.
Deuteronomy 10:12-13
12And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
13To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?
2 Timothy 3:12-14, 16-17
12Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
13But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
14But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
16All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
Matthew 19:16-17
16And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
17And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
John 15:9-10,14
9As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
10If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
14Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
Matthew 5:16-19
16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
19Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
13Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
May the Lord add a blessing to the reading of his word, in Jesus name Amen.
