What Scars Are You Bearing
We all suffer from the pains of an after math of experiences that may vary. Pains of abuse, broken homes, fear, disconnection from loved ones because of abandonment or a death, even regrets. These hurts are very real to us and often leave a trail of scars in our hearts. Some are so deep we feel as if we will never be the same and they often hold us back from getting on or going on with our life. It's very easy to let this cause us not to trust and get stuck in a rut. The pains of the past can control the way we live today.
Lets enter together into a realm of being able to release these things, one by one, one day at a time unto the Lord. Jesus came not only to take your hurts and heal your scars, but to restore you (us) back to God's original intent.
Jesus has a connection with your pain and is intimatley acquainted with your struggles. He is called " a man of sorrows" and is aquainted with our grief.
Isaiah 53:3 He was hated and rejected by people. He had much pain and suffering. people would not even look at him. He was hated, and we didn't even notice him.
He himself knows what it is like to be betrayed, publicly shamed, abandoned, abused and beaten. He knows about the feelings of being rejected, being hurt by those we love.
Hebrews 4:15-16 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in the time of need.
Rejecton can shut you ( us) down from the things of God. We have to allow God to be the Father that He wants to be for you (us). Release your anger and run to Him. If others have offended you, God wants you to forgive them and pray for God to set you free from those feelings even though you have been wounded. God wants to remove the scars. God is very aware of your wounds and He knows you are in need of healing. He has been touched by the feeling of your ( our) infirmities through the unity He has with His Son, Jesus Christ.
Love, mercy, compassion are the tools that God uses as He sews up the wounds of the past and even present. He wants to heal your broken heart and bring peace to the troubles places in your heart and emotions. He will deliver you from the destructive and non-productive behavior.
Psalm 34:18 The Lord is close to the broken hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
God can create new hearts and restore lost hopes. God is the recreator and restorer. The sustainer and transformer.
Whatever your internal issues, no matter who was or maybe at fault in creating your troubles or pain, God is a loving Father who is ready to restore, renew, love and heal you. Healing and wholeness often come to us progressively as we grow in our walk with God. God waits for us when we are disobedient and rebellious. He waits for us when we try to find something or someone else to fill what should be His place.
Too many times when someone hurts us or things happen that we don't understand we put on a mask and submerge the pain creating an " I'm not going to let anyone else hurt me, mind set". God is asking you to see beyond your pain. This has alot to do with feelings that we hold on too. These feelings are what you keep replaying in your heart and mind.
Perhaps you can think back to the day or the time you were first afflicted. It has changed the way you see things. You get to a certain point and you think finally your past the problem and something happens or someone says something to you and you realize you didn't get rid of it at all.
God didn't intend for you to remain captive or anchored to this emotional bondage. You have been emotionally imprisoned long enough. You were not born to live in bondage. God say's " He is the great I AM but do we let Him take whatever it is and turn it around. God has a purpose for your life and He won't be satisfied until His purpose for you is fulfilled. One of the hardest things to get past is our mind set captivity.
2 Corinthians 1:5 For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ.
Lets go back to Isaiah 53: 4-5 But He took our suffering on him and he felt our pain for us. We saw his suffering and thought God was punishing him. But he was wounded for our transgressions and he was crushed for the evil we did. The punishment. which made us well, was given to him, and we are healed because of his wounds.
VENGEANCE
God has not asked us to settle the score of the ones that have hurt us or to get even. The wanting to get even is only natural. I ask you to let God x-ray your soul of the hurt and the scars. It's fibers creep around the edge of the heart and ravage it. Yesterday you can't alter, but your response to yesterday you can. Revenge is irreverent. When we strike back maybe it seems to make us feel better but, it only last a moment and it sometimes futhers our emtional feelings and adds to the pain. Eventually.
To forgive someone is to display reverance. Forgiveness is not saying the one you hurt is right. Forgiveness is stating that God is fair and he will do what is right.
Psalm 34:15-18 The Lord sees the good people and listens to their prayers. but the Lord is against those who do evil; he makes the world forget them. The Lord hears good people when they cry out to him, and he saves them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the broken hearted, and he saves those whose spirits have been crushed.
I pray the God of peace give you a new heart and take away your pain and sorrows. May everyday be renewed in Him as he guides you and heals you from the past.
