My pen has dried up and I haven’t a refill, its sleeting & I have some logs to cut… I went out.
I decided I deserved a toasted teacake with my coffee at a new establishment I was checking out in Houltwhistle. No, for me it isn’t a ‘creative’ day so far. Trouble is my brain just can’t do relaxing and taking it easy. When I’m like this I need “Whooomph!” but its as though I’ve pressed 'delete' instead of 'save', and now I’m faced with handling a blank document!
Look - now there’s sleet out there. A pale grey cast to everything. The sky is like off-white velvet. Where fields have been ploughed and planted, already some are taking on a deep green from tiny shoots sprouting in the cold soil. Life always goes on; nature never fails us. Maybe I could learn a lesson there. When I get back this afternoon I’ll get shifting. The walking will have got things ‘Joggled-up’ and I’ll be functional and productive again.[That’s me trying to be positive. Sometimes it actually works too!]
