Paved with gold
The pavements of Gosforth were covered in autumn leaves today.
Rain had pasted them down and they lay, tight over the flaking paving slabs, so that as the late afternoon sun dropped below the tree line the paths shone like gold.

Quite poetic.
Where's Gosforth?

Gosforth is in North East England, just about 3 miles north of Newcastle, a beautiful, once heavilly industrial land full of friendly people and very changable weather conditions.
Until 40 years ago it was the heart of the coal industry, and at the turn of the 19th/20th century literally supplied coal to the whole world.
It is now 'cleaning up it's act' and is full of Victorian/Edwardien architecture and towering slopes with beautiful lighting.
