I have struggeled with an over-load of Rememberence Sunday.
All the Sunday Papers plus a fair slice of TV prgrams have be awash with stories relating to anything from The letter little Jack sent us from the Trenches in France, to What our lads went through on the Normandy Beaches.
Please - we have all the facts. We can read the biographys and the history books.
Can we get on with planting our crops and teaching a third generation now?

Sweetheart, I have not got long on here as RT will need me, but I happened to see this on my way to answer a mail
Yes, there has been alot, but, we can not forget, nor should we forget ..soft smile
Yes, people can look it up, read about if they so wish, but hon, many lost their lives - this is a very important time of year, to stop and think of all those lost, who survived with injuries, the Veterans and of course the families and those that are still serving on the front line.
I think we all need this time to reflect and honour each of them, that is my opinion.
blessed be

I agree - we must not, ever forget, but do people need to be prompted?

Good post trif. I agree with you all actually.
We should never forget that people have lost their lives and we should always remember that and educate our future generations as to the futility of war.
Neither should we push rememberance on to others to 'make' them remember. A good message is given subtly. Overkill only turns people off and they stop listening to the message.
Namaste all.
