Hello Everybody out there and welcome to the first ever, and possibly last ever , Writer's Blog! *unenthusiastic fanfare* As you may have already guessed I'm a writer, Wannabe writer..., And I'm currently working on the first book in a series. Once finished it will be the first story I attempt, and probably fail miserably, to get published. So I thought why not post a blog about the stories and characters that will soon be hitting shelves nation wide. (*Cough*yeah right*Cough*)
First up, let me tell you a little about the story I'm currently working on.
The story is called Dark Force. It follows an assassin named Shir on a job with her brother to kill the inhabitants of a strange tower. Almost immediately things go wrong. First her brother is killed by a 15 year old boy with a rifle. Then Shir finds herself trapped in the tower. A strange voice contacts her telling her to get to the roof so it can help her escape, but, the tower isn't just any building. Every room has some sort of trap set to kill intruders. Shir has to get to the top of the tower alive to escape and find out who this voice is and why it's helping her.
Now a little about the characters.

Name: Shir/Shiren Akata
Age: 22
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Birthplace: Osaka, Japan
Occupation: Ninja Assassin.
Family: Brother: Kayen Akata (deceased)
Weapons: Twin Assassin Knives, throwing knives X40, Small explosives X12 and a Poisoned glove.
Description: Shir is 5'6" And 119 LBS. She has short Green hair about chin level and has one eye blue the other golden-yellow as a result of heterochromia of the iris. She wears brown contacts to disguise this during missions. During missions she wears a black silk body suit that covers every part of her but her eyes.
History: Shir, and her brother, began training as assassins at the age of 6. They completed their training at the age of 12 and became incredibly competent assassins. They quickly gained a reputation, which is a bad thing for an assassin, and, as a result, were forced to leave the country at the age of 18 and continue their work elsewhere.
Name: Kai/Kayen Akata
Age: 22
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Birthplace: Osaka, Japan
Occupation: Ninja Assassin.
Family: Sister: Shiren Akata
Weapons: A Katana, A Kusarigama and a spring blade glove.
Description: Kayen was 6'8" and 120 LBS. He has buzzed black hair and blue eyes. During missions he wears a black body suit much like Shir's except without face covering instead he wears a white face mask to conceal his features. The mask also serves a second purpose as a tool for intimidation, or in the case of Evan a target. (Evan is the name of the 15 year old boy with the rifle. Yes I did just make a tasteless joke about the death of one of my characters.)

Age: 15
Race: Invallar Hybrid
Gender: Male
Birthplace: Unknown currently living in an uninhabited part of Brazil
Occupation: Unknown
Family: Father: Tarquin Evil, Brother: Miles Evil, Sister: Keira Evil (Deceased?) Brother: ?
Weapons: An M1 Garand Rifle, A longsword forged out of an Invallar Femur and a little used iron sickle.
Description: Evan has dark black hair that falls chaotically around his face. His eyes are deep
blue. He wears a regal black robe with a blood red trim and black dress shoes.
History: Evan is the youngest of the Evil family and the heir to the family legacy. A legacy of death and cruelty. He has no morals or ethics to speak of and sees human life as "We'll all die someday so why not let me kill you now it's not like a few years discrepancy will matter in the end." He enjoys his job protecting the tower and loves watching intruders trying to get through the tower. He frequently makes bets with his brother and the tower's guardians on how long an intruder will survive. (current bet on Shir. R$300 that she'll make it to atleast the 7th floor guardian. Would of bet further but it would of been suspicious since noone has ever gotten past the 7th floor guardian.)
Name: Miles/Milenus Evil
Age: 17
Race: Invallar Hybrid
Gender: Male
Birthplace: Unknown currently living in an uninhabited part of Brazil
Occupation: Unknown
Family: Father: Tarquin Evil, Brother: Evan Evil, Sister: Keira Evil (Deceased?) Brother: Shatter Evil?
Weapons: An Invallar eye in place of his left eye, an Epee and a rapier (dual wielded.)
Description: Miles tends to cover his face and hair with a black cap. He wears an olive green hoodie with a zip up front and the hood usually off. He has black sweatpants and whuite dress shoes on as well.
History: Miles is the second youngest of the Evil family. Unlike the other members of his family Miles posesses ethics and understands that what his family does is wrong. As a result he does his best to help those he deems worth saving , Those who entered the tower for a good cause, to get through the tower alive. His fear of revealing his true nature to the rest of the towers inhabitants especially his brother Evan has kept him from succeeding and all those he has helped in the past died despite his best efforts. He is determined not to make that mistake with Shir. He's going to keep her alive even if he has to kill Evan himself to do it.
So there you have most of the main characters. I intend to post the entire story to the web if it doesn't end up getting published, Look forward to it, I hope you enjoy it no matter whether you read it here or in a book.
