it is a cold and wintery day.....

well finally I can enjoy the smell of winter....

I opened both windows to my room, to refresh it after I woke up.. as I usually do.....
and when I came back into the room... I could smell winter....

its hte most beautiful smell of all seasons to me.... I dont know how to describe it....
maybe its the smell of rain in the air..... rain to come.... the clouds moving quickly overhead seem to be all dark enough with rain...

I dont mind this weather... we dont get it here alot ... it only rains in winter.... and winter rain has been late this year.... we had a few drizzles maybe 4 or 5 times... at night...but nothing substantial to make it feel like winter again :)

I sat down teh other day trying to analyze WHY is it that i like winter so much.. and snow...
more than summer....
the only things that kept registering in my mind... was how i feel when it does rain or snow... even if its a little bit.... its as if nature is interacting with you.... the link is immediatly established.. its not a spiritual like anymore.. its physical... and its all around you...

There are many times during the day .. where I see Him controling things in my life.. to help me.. or direct me.... or to test me.... its things that exist everyday.. if you pay attention.... people .. some people... I talk to...(even the religious ones) brush it aside .. sometimes...saying aaaah you think he is going to interfere with everything.... you think he worries about little details so much...

I find it strange they would think so... since even an ant... or whatever bug is smaller than an ant... he is providing food for it everyday... and he makes sure he helps it everyday....

look how many ants there are on the planet.... :)

he created everything.. ofcourse he watches over everything...
humans have really to stop thinking of him in the limitations of what we see in our lives... he goes beyond time and space..... dont they think that he will go beyond anything we are capable of reasoning.. or imagining?

in all the sciences and advances in science.. and technology.. and bla bla bla.. that we have in this little planet... you think that compares to a microb of what he is capable of... or what HE knows...
he created our knowledge and our science...and that is only a microb , not even that, of what is really out there...... and he is so much more....

so when it does rain.. or snow...in my busy life... I stand for a few seconds at least.... and feel this connection....its as if a hand has reached down to pet you on the head... or to say hello...
and its a warm fuzzy feeling...
the ultimate love is smiling down upon you.... :)

and then I have to scurry off to my busy life... dang it! :)

what do YOU feel when it rains or snows...? when it is windy... and nature is howling at the doors?
aside form feeling down becaseu it is grey again...as many people do.... isnt there an initial few seconds of innocent feeling.... a connection with nature?

or because it rains so much in yoru country... you have lost that feeling?

		JD... yes I geuss snow can do that... I have had to even walk in teh snow every morning to go adn stand waiting for the buses to go to work.. it was either too icy.. or too slushy.. and it would be a big mess for people who have to walk....sometimes you haev to step in puddles of ice water becaseu there is no other place to walk.... I remmeber it..... we would always be trying not to slip and fall down.... aside from betting hurt.. you really didnt want to get wet.. cause it was freezing out there.... but I still lvoed teh snow... there is nothing like walking to the bus early in teh morning when it is snowing ... it would be soooooo quiet..... as if it was snowing peaceful things.... I too have that image in my head of standing on teh hill side.. high up .. with my arms open wide in teh wind... and my jacket flapping in teh wind... wishing I could then fly up high with it.... I used to enjoy also teh wind in teh autumn when if would blow against me whilst i was walking.... and blow all teh colored leaves my way .. I would go thru tehm as they blew beside me and around me....and I also opened my arms sometimes... if the wind was strong enough... :D

		scarborough... welcome :D yes no doubt about it... the symphony of trees in the winds is the best... currently I have to watch the trees at our beighbours house.. cuase this house i am in does not have trees around it at all.... which is a pitty... I adore trees... :D

		I suppose snow in Northern Ireland has a different meaning to us than a lot of other places. We just don't get it that much. When we do and are fortunate to wake up on a morning when the trees are covered in snow and the sky is blue, then it is so majestic and awesome. I live beside the lough so that makes it even more beautiful looking beyond to the other side covered in white. We have a mountain that hangs over Belfast called the Cavehill and the Divis Mountains beyond that which are magnificent covered in snow. But then again, I feel for all those other counties in the UK who really suffer when it falls heavily. Thanks T for the thoughts!

		Elaine... that sounds wonderful :) I wish one day i could visit ireland and sctoland... I see them in movies... tehy are simply wonderful... I would like to visit many places... :) Hope your back is behaving these days :D
