 Winter in Hearst
May 5th,

Well we woke up to snow in the air.  I was hoping to be done with winter but it's not done with Hearst.  The lakes are all frozen over and it is really cold.  I'm glad I upgraded the heater in the Jeep.  I've already met another CJ owner who worked in the area.  Hearst is a mostly french comunity but it seems all of the locals know to speak to me in english.  I have to be honest it makes me very proud when a stranger comes up and says "hey thats a nice Jeep"!

Dad and I visited the church he was baptised in, the house he left when he was 5 and Johnson lake (may or may not be from our family.  Unfortunatly we could not locate the old Johnson dairy but did find the site of the potato farm.  There were piles of lumber on the edge of town that must have been over three stories high.  Other than that there really wasn't much to see in Hearst.  It was nice to visit but I don't think I'll ever return.

Anyway up with more photos.
