May 10th
Well this morning we had a great visit with some family friends in Calgary. Tudor was the best man at my dad's wedding and his wife Lyn wasted no time to jump in the drivers seat of the Jeep. I was also able to store some of my luggage with them until I come back. It has taken some weight off the Jeep and eliminated tire rubbing. Thank you Tudor and Lyn!
We had a very eventfull day of driving after that. Stopped for lunch in an abandoned camp site, I had to take a pic of my improvised fork. Hey I brought a lot of tools with me, I have to get as much use out of them as I can.
Then we ran into Wes and Sarah again. I'm sure we will again before the trip is over. We snapped this pic with the mountians in the background. Lots of beautiful country up here. I've taken this drive plenty of times but never get tired of it.
Heading up to Jasper we saw a huge bear and had to stop for pics. It was the biggest black bear I've ever seen.
We arrived in Jasper at around 7pm, had dinner with my cousin Janet. Saying at a B&B.
I'm really tired so I'll post the pics tomorrow. Stay tuned.
