Tori White is about to make a spectacular arrival - like a blazing comet heading to earth, touchdown is imminent. The Queen will be amongst the lucky guests at the major debut of this stunning performer. Rarely does a new artist emerge with such pedigree, industry adulation and a weighty burden of expectation upon their shoulders.
Tori will perform live to the nation on the BBC at the The Royal Albert Hall on November 10th.
Following on from Victoria Hart, the teenager whom George Clooney recently helped propel towards a multi-million pound record deal, Tori is the latest 'Vocaltech' music academy pick of the year.
It was Tori's unique voice - displaying an astonishing mix, blending Kelly Clarkson's vocal power and Beyonce's delicate control - that first intrigued the ears of pop legend Jim Dooley.
Having fronted 'The Dooleys', one of the world's most successful bands, Jim was well placed to judge this formidable talent. "I met Tori's father randomly at a hotel, he mentioned his daughter was a singer and gave me her demo, I was blown away. I agreed to be her executive producer," Jim reveals. "I played her music to a few leading figures - including Dan Saxon and Mark Jaimes, the producers behind Simply Red's millions of sales - they were the ones who were right for Tori. They knew she was an amazing talent and we started working on an incredible debut album, now we are about to unleash Britain's biggest new pop star in decades."
One of Tori's first tracks so impressed BBC producers that it was selected for use in this year's Festival of Remembrance - it will also be the Poppy Appeal Record 2007.
Tori's impending launch has generated immense excitement. Her music, a vibrant blend of soul, pop and R'n'B, is accessible to music fans across a wide spectrum - a mainstream artist with a contemporary sound.
The Royal Albert Hall will be a suitably historic venue for Tori to be introduced to the nation.
