Good morning world. And a wonderful morning it is too. The sun is shining though it's crisp and cold out, and the day is new and full of promise. Coffee's good this morning and I'm alive and breathing. All good things for sure.
All's still well on the western front. I'm still doing well and enjoying these days of normalcy.
I'm off today and I'll be spending the day helping my youngest daughter move into her new apartment. Actually it's her 2nd apartment. See, her husband works for an apartment complex so they get their current apartment free. But it's looking more and more like he may lose his job. If he does then they lose their apartment so she applied for an apartment at another complex and got it. So she's moving some furniture into the new place, just enough to be able to spend some time there, a couch, a copule of beds for her kids, things like that. She plans on spending days there while her husband's at work since the new place is right next door to my oldest daughter.
Damn, this coffee is really good this morning. Anyone care for a cup? Pull up a seat and make yourself at home.
It must be close to that Christmas time of the year again because my wife has the tv station on that's playing all Christmas music. It has her dancing around the house in a good old mood, let me tell you. As for me, I say bah humbug. Christmas should wait til after Thanksgiving. Why rush the season?
The rampage at Fort Hood is over. Final tally 13 dead and 28 still hospitalized with injuries. I didn't hear if any of the wackos who did it were taken alive. I sure hope not. They deserve what they dealt out.
My borther's driveway is finally cured. It came out nice. Now to get ready for the 2nd half! No, he's gonna wait til spring time to do that.
My son seems to have passed his kidney stones. He did not use the strainer they gave him to pee through so he doesn't know for sure but the pain is gone so that's a good sign. And his ankle's healed, he's got the cast off and is walking with crutches, but at least the cast if off! That's good news. Soon he'll be able to go back to work. Thank God since he certainly needs the money.
Well that's all for today folks. You just sit there and finish your coffee. I gotta get up and get ready to help my daughter. Be good now, y'hear?
