| Just Hello and changing subject.... |
(UPDATED 3 PM... iT WAS OK. NOT STUPENDOUS BUT VERY PLEASANT TO SWIM AND RELIVE THESUMMER AGAIN. tHE FLOATING WAS ALRIGHT EXCEPT THE WATER WAS A LITTLE TOO COOL FOR MY HEAD.
The sun is out for a change and the pool is up to 80 degrees. I think I'll take time off to swim today.
I know you hardier types laugh at us southerns, But swimming in water in the lower 70s just won't let you relax and float around a bit.
You yankees laugh at me because I've become accustomed to the warm temps and can't stand cold water any more. I used to shave and bathe in cold water and thought swimming in 60 degrees was a holiday. But I've acclimated now. Love it when it is hot. Love it when the waters are warm. But this September has been cloudier than usual and the pool just wouldn't get up there this month. Today it is and I'm off to swim.
To one of you in particular, I'm not a millionare. The house was bought with a pool that was in need of repair. I contributed the money to repair and maintian the pool for a while. It needed concrete repairs and a new liner, everything else worked as it should. But in these southern climes it has to be cleared of algea regularly. We have a thing that converts salt into chlorine and that takes care of it. We get May time through September swimming usually. This year has been different.
