I dreamed that I was in this country where more land had been opened up so many people were starting to move. I was walking along and I dreamed I was Pocahontas and I walked in a river and sang just around the river bend and when I found this tree, I coaxed the tree spirit to come out and sing with me. However, our singing disturbed a meowth-like creature in a tree...a tree which in its roots were hidden lots of treats like pocky. It was upset from the singing, also because it thought this girl, who was with me, and I, were lesbians and those were illegal. Eventually it got angry and walked away, but not before explaining to us that what the government had did, opening up the land was bad. If people kept making more rice fields (and I thought this was in Africa and wondered if people in Africa grew rice), the river that flowed down and the tide that rose up, would not be enough to deluge them all anymore.
The girl and I (and around some point I think I just became me) and my sister found this place where these people lived in holes dug into hills...it was sort of like the shire but not really, although Frodo lived there. I think then we went to sleep, the next day when we went there though, we found that some evil force had gone through there. The underground tunnels and homes were completely burned out and destroyed. Inside, hanging from the ceiling beams or anything were the bloody spines of the creatures that had lived in these homes. Around a corner, were similarly bare and bloody corpses if they could be called that, more like skelletons..and there was screaming, as though suggesting that the evil that had come here had cruelly killed them by slowly stripping and burning the flesh off their still living bodies.
Just as we were about to turn the corner, a man who looked like Manji from BOTI stopped us and told us not to go in there, but to flee. There was another man with him. Also, at some point, a boy who was dressed and had the color similar to Wrath in FMA but with short hair joined us at some point. He had a big black dog. He had a more serious personality.
There were horrible sounds of fighting as we ran around the burnt corridors, most that had been semi-cleaned out by Manji and the other guy. Finally, we reached a balcony that looked a lot like the balcony at my old house. Underneath was a field and the around was a forest, similar to the one near the house we stayed in while we were up north but with plants more like the ones around here. There was no ladder or stairs down. Then the girl stamped hard on one part of the balcony and sort of a part fell and hung like a big swing. She told me we were supposed to jump onto it and then onto the ground. I told her that I thought that was too far to jump. But she did it, and then I jumped after her...and missed the half-way thing and just hit the ground, but I was just fine, I'd jumped high-ish places before.
At the bottom was a medium or larger sized dog with brown, black, and white mottled fur. It was a dog we assumed belonged to someone who had been killed. He was very fluffy and his fur was incredibly soft. We named him Fluffy. He took a liking to us, and had a tan bag on him so we put some of our stuff in his bag and he ran along side us. ] It was nice to have a dog, I thought, a loyal dog could even bring down a cave troll perhaps, I thought.
As we ran, we noticed a girl who looked like Doa from BOTI...though she didn't have an obnoxious personality like her. Manji and the other guy had come out of the building already and we asked if she could join us. Manji asked if the girl who had been with me from the beginning could impersonate this other girl, because that could be useful. She said she could, so this other girl came along too.
[I just remembered, before we met the men, I think I dreamed that I and maybe the girl were in a building like a church or a school or something and there was this man I was trying to catch because he had done something really bad like steal something important or killed someone or something...I think this is where more of the confusing jump from the river part to the shire part is smoothed out, and we actually meet more of the others there, but I'm not sure.]
As we ran, we came across some migrating farmers as well as some tourists who stared at us weirdly. At this point, I noticed my sister was not with us. I got a little worried, because I had not thought anything of it. What if she had been killed? Would I mourn enough? Our bond was not as it used to be. There was a native woman speaking in Chinese (so maybe this is really China?...), talking about how this white girl was learning Chinese (maybe the girl with me?).
We reached this place that was sort of our house...it was a house that we sort of furnished with random stuff somehow. It was not big, though all that I went to in the dream was the kitchen and the living. The kitchen was small and looked kind of like Taki's kitchen, but barer, just a sink, and a small-medium refrigerator on one side. The living room had two old but soft couches, and a small wood table with six chairs around it. Manji and the other guy had gotten home already and were eating fish and stuff and being all happy. I asked them, isn't it nice to have one's own house. I ate some too, but my sister hadn't shown up yet. I went outside.
The same Chinese woman said, "Wo kan dao le yi ge xiao mo gui" and "yi ge da hei gou" fighting. She had seen a little goblin with a big black dog fighting. I was worried, was the boy still alright?...he hadn't returned yet either. Just then, I saw him walking up the path, carrying the big black dog on his shoulders. I asked him if he had seen my sister, and he said he had seen her about a tenth back, which was not too far. She was just walking slower and would arrive soon. He looked exhausted, but not wounded too badly anywhere. I put an arm around his shoulder and we walked back to the house.
I think this group would not have been together except we all decided to fight the evil. I wanted to figure out what would happen next, but I guess it was such a relief to be in the house and know everyone was safe that I woke up.
