So, who or what is the wiki monkey? It's the nonsense factor in a wiki. It's when good quality gives way to poor quality on these grounds:

• freedom of speech
• freedom of expression
• "this is the people's wiki and the people have spoken"
• "that is so cruel; you have hurt my feelings criticizing my work"
• respect for people under 12
• lowered expectations for every person who finds an internet connection
• various other reasons
