This isn't about "buying" a wiki, although that can help! This is about the "stamp" of ownership of a wiki.
There are several ways this happens:
* You own it. You plough its depths everyday and everyone knows you. Everyone picks up on what it is you want and they do it. Also known as: owner manipulator.
*You are the main contributor. Yes, you are the one who puts on all the content, the articles, the elements that make the thing tick. Also known as: mega time-waster.
* You shove policy down everybody's throats. Until it comes out their ears and the entire community knows that where you move, the policy shifts with you. That whatever you say, they must listen and hang off, open-mouthed and in awe. Also known as: factual or perfectionist bully.
*You fork it. Yes, you've had it, you have the knowledge and you fork it. Somewhere else entirely. So that you can become the idol. Also known as: the one who took it all too seriously.
