| My defiance of social norms.... |

Currently, my life consists of.. wonderfully dangerous teenage things, daydreaming about food.. sex.. what my bedroom will look like in the future; generally feeling secure (other than unfortunate adolescent hormone secretions) and studying A-levels. One of which is psychology. I'm generally normal, unusual background compared to many, yet still, comfort myself by being surrounded by people who are interesting.
My preferred reading material is Bizzarre magazine. Yes, slightly unusual for a girl who's so young she's counting down the days 'til her birthday (11 in fact). At which stage she will be in the mear 18th year of her existance.. Thus making me a not-so-sweet 16 years of age.. So anyways, some months ago, the bizzaremag website brought me to something even more up my street - no account requirement, and full of even more entertaining articles and pictures for which I could amuse myself: consumptionjunction.com
I have to mention, for the record, I'm no Goth, nor Emo, nor do i even like to self harm, have a few peircings, I'm not a lesbian, I didn't used to be a man, I smoke alotta' weed, drink alotta' wine. I'm not a sadist, not particularly into bondage or any such madness, although am slightly obsessed with sex. I always did like plastic surgery tv shows and Horizon. At 4, my prefered carreer, had you asked, would have been something along the lines of 'brain surgeon' and I was always good at science.. and enjoyed it.
So, today I went to my tutor for a couple hours after college, revised for my psychology exam on thursday. We talked a lot about Sigmund Freud and his theories on the penis.
Today on consumption junction we had a relevant article written by Jim Goad entitled 'Beyond the Bobbitts - Honouring history's less famous severed penises'.
Here he presents the importance of Freud's penis ideas in contributing to two of his major psychological theories....This is simply his introductory paragraph.
He then went on to inform me of many hilariously irrational yet useful accounts of men having their meat cut off.
I went to Thailand last year for a short holiday and so was quite interested to find that many of these stories came from a country where the culture interests me so emensly already!
These wonderfully contextual articles that pop-up every day help me to conclude that I should, in fact, continue with my unorthodox and blasphemic internet reading habbits, as they will become integral to gaining my literary and sexual maturity over these important years. And they are helping me receive a different yet useful tertiary education.
