 Will humans evolve into robots?
Will humans evolve into robots?
Did you know that people are walking around with computers in the heads? Yessir...I didnt know but its happening. For example people diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease have tiny computers implanted inside their brains to help them remember...key word is remember. The micro computers have tiny memory chips that can be removed, updated with info and uploaded back into the brain. Some of the best doctors in the world say that science has helped them in the emergency rooms during surgery. They been had cameras that can see the body from inside, and some hospitals have robot arms that perform flawless surgery...Its True...
Which brings me to my point...Scientist are saying that eventually all of our memories and thoughts will be able to be stored on a micro-chip. They say that they can simply download all your "memories"..kill the body...and load your "thoughts" into a sort of cyborg steel body...meaning people would live forever.....
My question for you...if offered the chance...would you do it? I suppose there are some pros and cons....
Obviously the thought of living forever comes to mind. No more loved ones dying. Super-human sort of strength...They say man will be able to survive space travel and explore the universe.....oh and No more kids would starve and hopefully no more wars and soldiers dying....or how about NO MORE RACISM...
The bad is that there will be no laughing, no music...I guess there would be no more kids after a certain point..just living forever...
And would religion still continue..How would becoming immortal affect peoples belief in God?
Maybe thats when the real wars will start...those that are cyborgs, and those who chose not to become cyborgs...put on your thinking cap....
Would you stay human or become an immortal..and why? Let us know here on TigahBee...the floor is yours...

Thanks for your thoughts, and I have to admit, I wouldn't want to live forever either. My faith tells me that I have a greater reward after this life. Thanks for your thoughts and check back with us often!

I know there will probably be some people who will want to live on forever, but I truly believe that will be empty. I'd miss my family, pets, and friends and just like you my faith leads me to know there is something greater in the afterlife.

Isn't a computer or perhaps cyborg only ever as good as their creator can be, at that moment in time of invention, in which case would always be open to human error?
So can we ever escape what it is that makes humans tick or what it is that is the essence of humaness?

Mumsi,
I agree 100% technology is only as good as the day it was created. I agree with these "cyborgs" being only a snapshot of our technilogical advacement. Thank you for posting and check back with us for more thought provoking blogs.
