As much activism as I do its really a challenge to stay away from blogging about politics all the time...but sadly..we (Americans) are in an election cycle. Its a time where women, the youth and immigrants will play a major influence on the final results.  I thought about it and here are my top 3 issues and/ or concerns..

1...Education...my concern is will public education stay free? All these chareter schools popping up all over the city...fighting and competing for city and state money that should already be going towards new books and building repairs for our declining city public schools....basically...if you have a child and you cant afford to pay for your child to go to a charter school...will your child get a quality free education....the future isnt looking good for inner-city kids...

2...Our economy....This concerns me because I have already seen many people lose their homes. More and more people are fighting for jobs and job security. How about the lack of affordable housing? Taxes and everything are going up..except our paychecks...

3...Retirement...I have been concerend about this for a few years. There is speculation about Social Security going away...Here's a little fact...I have been paying into it for over 2 decades, and NOW there is a chance I won't see it.
