I really believe this.
I am watching my mother who I believe is a fast food addict spiral out of control.
What the hell are they putting in that stuff to get her to eat out for EVERY meal EVERY day?
And my mom is a heavy woman, she doesnt need all that crap. She is now up to double portions because single ones arent enough for her anymore.
First off, she doesnt make enough money to be spending it on fast food like she does.
Second, she is always saying that she wants to loose weight.
Thirdly, she is a boarderline diabetic... hello can we say CARBS are bad!!!
I am so worried about her.
Her weight is skyrocketing and her self esteem is below sea level.
My husband is a Chef in training always cooking at home and we never eat out, but she will NOT eat with us.
We make a salad for dinner and she goes and buys one from Wendys to eat with us.....WHAT THE HELL???
But now the scary thing is that it is becoming secretive.
She is hiding wrappers in her car and under the couch and that just isnt normal.
I know that I have an eating disorder totally opposite of this. I am a control freak when it comes to what I eat and my weight. She is totally opposite, she is a massive fast food binge eater.
Its just crazy to me.
I mean in my mind, if I really wanted to loose weight as bad as she claims she does I would STOP EATING all that crap. Low calories and work out, work out, work out.
I dont know how to help her.
Maybe I just need to look at it like others have to look at me, that is just the way she is and I cant stop her.
I am sure people think the same about me, but I wont listen to them because I cant.
I like to think that if I were ever dangerously underweight that I would accept help, but I cant say that I would for sure. And I dont know why.
Maybe she is in that same boat, even though she is massively overweight she just cant accept our help.
No explaination, just cant.
Maybe I can understand it in a way.... but its all twisted on me.
Because I am the exact opposite.
