| With God, All things are possible

No matter what we face, we have to believe that God is in Control.
Facing Serious Illnesses? Look to God for Answers.
Facing financial difficulties? Seek God's Face.
Facing Foreclosure or Eviction? God has a plan for your deliverance!!
We need to look to God for the answers to all of our difficulties and not try to solve them using our own ways.
God already knows and sees our problems, and will not abandom those who call on Him and acknowledge Him.
The Lord Jesus Christ is a God of Miracles.
Let Him do a miracle in your life today!
Then, after you have received your miracle, remember to share what the Lord has done for you with others so they, too can be blessed and then seek God's Face and look to Him for their miracle!

Seriously...... If facing a serious illness, consult a physician. Financial difficulties, get a job. Foreclosure or eviction, keep the job and pay your bills on time. God helps those that help themselves.

I believe that God is my co-pilot- and when I do what I am supposed to do, that is do my part and put my faith into action, i.e. be a doer, then He will answer and do His Part
I have seen all of the doctors, done what is asked of me, i.e. exercise, diet, while all the while believing and trusting God that He will deliver me and Heal me.

Ahhhhhhh, so you have faith in the lord ( I do believe in a higher power ) but you at least hedge your bets so to speak. Follow blindly and eventually you walk into a wall. However with open eyes we can step over and around obstacles, and still keep our goal (faith) in sight.

Daddynobuks,
I do not follow blindly. I do my part, that is do what I need to do to get better spiritually, physically or financially, and then ask the Lord for His direction, guidance and wisdom.
Here are two Bible Verses that I rely on when faced with trials:
1 John 4:4- "Greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world."
Philippians 4:13- "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

I am not a follower at all. it seems that you are the type that will not listen to any other point of view. so if someone you loved was killed or someone mugged you, would you turn the other cheek or forgive. how far do do you take the word of the bible, if someone has had sex with another man's wife would you kill them it goes on and on. You can't take the parts you can use and disregard others.
all i will say is its obvious your god is important to you so go in peace and may your god be with you.

Mots,
In answer to your reply, yes I would turn the other check in these examples and would forgive them. That is what Christ has called me and those who believe as I do to do.
The Bible is very clear on taking vengeance- "Vengeance is mine, says the Lord."
I have been wronged and hurt by many people in my life- and yes I could retaliate. But I choose not to. Each of us will have to our own God at the time we die. I want my God, the Lord Jesus Christ, to be able to say "Well done my good and faithful servant." I want to be able to pass the test.
God Bless You.

I must say, I admire your resilience in your beliefs. But let me pose a question. Was it not Jesus Christ who entered the temple and proceeded to dole out vengeance on those he felt had wronged his father? Even our lord Jesus refused to "turn the other cheek" at times. Another example, Sodom and Gomorrah. Our lord God also has quite the temper. In both instances they had been wronged by people who were just doing what they wanted to do without regard for others beliefs or feelings. So when someone suckerpunches me either literally or metaphorically I have and will continue to retaliate with a clear conscience. Final vengeance inevitably will be the lords, be that as it may those who wrong me need to worry about more immediate consequences. And when I stand before the lord either 80 years from now or at the completion of this sentence, I feel he will understand and say "Well done my just and faithful servant".

Daddynobuks,
I cannot speak for how others choose to live their life.
All I can do is to make sure my life is one where I have conducted myself in a Christ-Like manner with those I have come in tact with, and with those I have had any dealings with.
Each person is responsible for his or her own actions- I am not a Judge, Jury or Executioner- I leave that up to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Now, not to pry.... What event in your life led you to have such a steadfast and peaceable outlook on serving the lord? I have to assume at this point that you are either an ordained minister or a survivor of some cataclysmic event.......or both. I'm not trying to shake your faith by any means, just calling into question certain aspects of it and bringing up counterpoints to show the different interpretations. I'm catholic in case you were wondering.

Daddynobuks,
Not prying at all.
I was exposed to a variety Toxic Molds, Mycotoxins and Methamphetamine Chemicals via second hand exposure from a home we owned and had purchased from some unethical individuals.
My exposure was so severe that it destroyed my immune system- damaged the lungs, caused loss of hearing, damaged my heart, caused arthritic conditions, caused cancer of the skin- nearly killed me. I was hospitalized in critical care for almost a week. I am still suffering today- and have had medical bills of over 160,000 dollars. Everything I had- all savings, retirement money- all wiped out. I went from being healthy and never seeing doctors to having to see numerous specialists on a continuous basis.
The specialists I have seen for all of my illnesses have told me that there is no cure for exposure to Toxic Mold Toxins or Methamphetamine Chemical exposure known by Medical Science.
Thus, I gave this over to God and looked to Him for Healing- And he has done it. I am not one hundred percent better- but I am better to the point that I can at least function. I am a Born-Again Christian and full believer in the Power of God's Healing.
God Bless You for understanding.

God has blessed me and continues to in his own way. Its my sincere wish that God give some of my share to you in the future. May you have as much fortune as you've had misfortune. Its been a pleasure making your aquaintance, and I'll be dropping in from time to time just to say hi ( and possibly spar a bit more on religious views :-) )

Daddynobuks,
Thank you for your response and understanding.I keep on striving and doing what I can- I am and always will be a fighter.
I believe there are two types of people- the victim who says "oh, poor me", and the overcomer who says "I will not let this thing or situation defeat me."
I am that overcomer- always have been.
