Theo had the homework assignment of researching and writing
about Valentines Day. He had to find out how the holiday came to be, how it was
celebrated and how he celebrated it.
He dictated the following to me so that I could type it out
and he could use that as a guide to write it out. Remember he is 5. He was so serious as I was transcribing this for him. Pacing the room and lecturing. This is verbatum.

Valentines Day:
Research suggests at Roman times people celebrated fertility
on February 14th. Two Christian martyrs, Valentine of Rome and
Valentine of Terni, made up Valentines Day.
Valentine’s Day is celebrated by kissing much more than
original kissing. Valentine’s Day is celebrated by exchanging love notes made
into Valentines when paper is cut like a heart.
When I celebrate Valentine’s Day, I allow people to
celebrate this by kissing me.
