 Ugly Betty - American Writing
Ugly Betty is falling right in to place. Do you want to know why? Because it is going back to the way that it was before. We've had a whole series of this Template. What is with modern American Writers? do they just take the same scripts from before and switched over the names? I mean they may as well use a slot machine. This is one of the reasons of why I don't like Easterners (UK Soap) or Cori-nation Street (Slightly Happier Northern UK Soap) its because they just switch the names around.

OK now last series, what was the main goal, the main shift? Wilhelmina with Mode. Yes we had a whole series of this. Her scheming and planning to iron out Mode which was helped with a death.

So they erase what, at least 6 months worth of work in one episode. Oh no sorry not one episode, in about 4 minutes of one episode. I know the whole Good beats Bad thing is a huge trend however do we really need to be this transparent?

Also Ugly Betty has so many characters I've lost count of who's the main set.... oh yes that right, Wikipedia tells us them, Betty Suarez, Daniel Meade, Amanda Sommers, Marc St. James, Wilhelmina Slater, Claire Meade, Hilda Suarez, Ignacio Suarez, Justin Suarez, Matt Hartley. Hang on a second, a double figure main character count? oh well at least they've got another 40 recurring members... its getting hard just remembering peoples faces.

HOWEVER
I do believe it has taken a slight turn. Now the following are spoilers (however small)
A few things on my mind. What happens if it dies. The main question however is who.

Prove me wrong Ugly Betty and derail from the tracks.

"Ugly Betty" is a direct spin-off of a South American favorite, "Betty la Fea", popular for decades before American interests got ahold of it. So it's even worse than you thought - they stole the idea from an old TV show from south of the border! Oh - and Betty la Fea is MUCH hotter.

Thank you for that thought provoking comment and I hope to hear from you on other posts in the near future

The feelings are mutual - I enjoy your posts, and watch for your listings.

Where is the creativity of the baroque period? Or the Renaissance? I've often wondered if there might have been a mold in the food chain, or some such thing. There are periods in human history where creativity is abundant, others where it is nonexistent. Ebbs in the tide.

That is certainly a very good peice of feedback, I wasn't expecting to take this that far however looking at it on the face the Creativity of the ages does go up and down. I feel like I should defontly research in to ages and the status of which and try to come up with some hypothsis or thoughts based on this.

I think that you'll no doubt agree that the western world at the moment is in a slump of Creaitivity and orignallity. The chinnize (and what i've oberserved and talked about with a few penpals) genrally learn their trade from a very young age. For example with peano playing they'll start at 2 or at least some of the one's witnessed and the schooling system is very strict. Therefore I think that with that in hand of the Chinnze apprently being the most inventive of people I think this time is in a very mixed place. There are zones in which there is some real talent and other places hold so very little.

I wont talk too much on this subject however, and feel free to post something on your blog, seeing as this is a very interesting topic and certainly something I wouldn't mind reading up on.

Yet again thank you for your feedback and comments and I hope to either take this further or read any contirbutions to your own blog on the subject matter :)
