You can run from it your entire life, and you probably are, or will. No matter what you do or where you go, and your effort will in fact be formidable, that trail behind you will never cease. It may fade and dilute the longer it becomes, but it will always remain a continual, unbroken path that leads to where you are right here, right now. You will change, for better or worse...who you are will constantly transform and you will perpetually modify all aspects of your personality and system of beliefs. The only thing that won't change is the fact you are just water and DNA. And even your biological chemistry leaves long, convoluted strings of shadows that prove that the past will haunt you. Everyone is haunted by their past. Your past is you and you cannot ever sever yourself from what has made you who you are. So good luck.
