So, I did my first two tattoos in the wee hours of this morning.  Fucking sweet.
The first one I did on myself, on my leg towards my ankle.  The second on I did on my best friend's shoulder.  We have pretty similar designs, but definitely not the same pain tolerance.

Doing my tattoo was awesome.  I equate it to masturbation. It's still fun, but you have to do the work instead of letting someone else do it for you.  Plus, it doesn't hurt nearly as much because the surprise factor is gone.  But I loved it.  I got to check out needle depth and how well a Single can handle a line.  I had to go over every line about five times to get the right thickness, but it was all good.  I found out a few things though,during th eexperience:

1) A&D Ointment can be useful.

2)Stencil transfer pencils are so much better than spirit masters, in my opinion.

3) Five rounds seem to be the best way to go with outlines.

4) I, apparently, have a very high pain tolerance, and a very stoic appearance.

5) Getting a tattoo on your shoulder can be very painful.

6) With the portable power supply, I should get used to carrying an extension cord around.

7) Bizarre Bizaar apparently sells tattoo needle.

8) I need bandages, medical tape, an extra tube of A&D ointment, a travel case, and a way to organize all my shit when I'm on the go.

It was an awesome experience.  I can't wait to do it again.  Meaning, I can't wait until I get the money for more needle and tubes.
