I finally got it! I finally got my tattoo kit!!! Yay for Communism!!!!!!!!!!!! (And Superior Tattoo.)
I'm so excited! I mean, I'm one step closer to achieving my goal of, for once, making my own dream come true. Friggin sweet.
So... I don't know what to play with first. I'm sitting next to a bunch of stuff that makes very little sense right now, and I'm wondering if I can fit this all in one bag so that I can carry it around with me constantly. Of course, that would be pointless, but I can dream, can't I?
I got The Craft of Tattooing by Erick Alayon, which I'm going to read about fifteen times. Plus, there's the Artist's Guide from Superior, which gives a general overview of the tattooing process. At least it gives me aftercare instructions. But yeah, I'm taking this book with me everywhere I go. Especially once I start interviewing on my own. Seeing that, while you're dialing and not speaking with an actual person, we've been given permission to pretty much do whatever we want. Hell, I saw a guy playing video games at his desk yesterday, so I'm not worried about reading my new "Spiritual Guide."
I also go some flash. It's all pretty much the generic shit that I hate, but it's a startin point. I need to start getting my flash together. Hell, I need to start doing a lot of things. I have a list of key moves that I need to make to get shit up and running, along with an estimated time line as to when I want to get things done. (Speaking of which, I need to copy that into its new home.)
I'm so excited. I can't wait until I actually get started tattooing. Of course, I'll need more needles, tubes, razors, gloves, A&D Ointment, and willing test subjects. But for right now, some practice skin would do nicely.
