I just got really grossed out.
If you guys have heard of Eli Roth, then you've heard of Hostel 1 and 2. If you haven't got any idea what I mean... let me explain.
Eli Roth is a really good Hollywood Director, famous for his movies Hostel and Cabin Fever. Ah... now you know who I mean :)
I rented Hostel 1 and 2 from the local video shop, I don't know why... I just figured that I should grow some balls and watch a few horror movies. Well... there was nothing scary about them, but damn they were gross! I just finished watching Hostel Pt 2... and well... I'll never be naked near a woman with scissors in her hands. If you guys have seen the movie, you'll remember the cringing moment where "she" ties the guy into a chair, and holds a pair of bolt cutters to this guys cock and balls, and snips. Now I know why it takes alot for me to trust a woman! GROSS!!!!
On to something a little less disturbing. In the process of telling you my grossed out story, I mentioned directors. Anyone who shows a little interest in me knows that I want to be a director, and I recently discussed projects with my little sister. When I get a job that gives me enough money to save, I'll be going out to buy equipment. I hope to get a nice high end computer, a decent LCD widescreen T.V (as a secondary monitor) and a surround sound system. While I'm at it, I'll be looking at getting a Camera or two. Then, I'll begin shooting on my first major project "Love And Revenge". This movie will only be short, and its about love, and the effect it can have on those who lose it (based on personal experience, to a point). I hope to get it sent off to a few film festivals, so I can begin shooting bigger and better productions (with Studio/commission funding woot!).
Currently, not much is going in my favour there... but it will happen!
I also recently made a website, which I hope will generate some interest (drop in: http://lgpd.wordpress.com) and maybe get a few donations (you can help there.. if you have paypal!). If you live in Australia, close to Dubbo NSW... you can email me (check the profile page or the website) about the acting position I have open. If things go to plan, I'll be paying between 300 and 500 dollars AU.
What do I want? A woman, one who has a convincing fake cry... and has no issues with the sight of guns (I'll probably be using a replica pistol, that will fire blanks... but I won't have it fired on the day of shooting). You will need to be around 18 (a few years older is fine).. And don't worry, theres no nude sceens. Anyone interested can email me, and I'll send you a copy of the script and info on when the production will start. I also have other small time productions I'll be filming after that, one being a "love/suicide" short film, which will probably follow Love And Revenge. I'll be sending them out to film festivals at the same time, and I may be looking for a male actor, around 18/20 years old and has no issue with guns (not many do).

I wasn't that impressed with Hostel. I'm more into movies like The Strangers. The closer it comes to actually be able to happen in real life, the more disturbing it is to me. That's awesome that you wanna direct. I wish you luck!
