Question of the Day -- Saturday July 26!
I got an e-mail from Heather asking me to take the baton so I'll pick it up!

Here's just a silly fun one for everyone....

When I was a kid, I used to get out my encyclopedia of animals and pick one from every page that I was going to have as a pet!

So my question is... if you could have ANY three animals as a pet (let's assume it would come with the proper housing, etc, no cost to you, and let's also assume that any pet you'd have would be friendly and not dangerous)... what would you want and why?

I'm going to pass the baton to my pal KarKar for Sunday!  :)

I would want an Orca Whale because they are pretty and it'd be fun to swim around with it. :)

I'd also want a baby gorilla that wouldn't get big, ha ha, because they're just too damn cute and playful.

..And last but not least I'd like a siberian Tiger cuz they are so pretty and it'd be fun to wrestle with.

1. A penguin because I think it's cool they're always dressed for a special occassion.

2. A slender loris because they're really small with these big ass crazy eyes that make you go "WTF".

3.A Girafe so I'm not the tallest person in my crowd of friends anymore.

1. I'd take a dolphin, just because I love them and they are beautiful.

2. I'll say a baby tiger because they are cute as shit and then beautiful when they get big.

3. And let's go with......a penguin like Noah said because Daisy absoluetly loves them after watching Happy Feet and you gotta please the kids. :)

I might someday want miniature horses, and burros. I love them.
and maybe, macaws. They are beautiful. Maybe, maybe a bengal cat.I miss my kitties. But I am burnt out caring for my kids zoo, which FINALLY, is with the kids(don't ask).

TAJ - LOVE THIS QUESTION :)

1. A meerkat, they are my favorite little animals in the whole wide world! :)
Their inquisitive nature reminds me of me. lol.

2. A chimpanzee - because you said it could be trained right? House trained? Sounds great.

3. A unicorn. For the magic and beauty of them. I know I know, I'm still living with one foot in my fantasy world!!! lol

if I can't have a unicorn then it would have to be a lion cub, after the video I was sent the other week. Of course only if somebody else paid for it's food and cleaned up it's er um huge droppings in my back yard. But yes Definitely a Lion, imagine foty's face! lol

I would have a lioness and a chimp but I don't know that I would want to care for them. The third would be my little Rottie, Shelby. I would not trade her in for any other animal!

I love this question.
1 I'd have a dolphin! I love them. They look so cute....
2 I'd take hmm....a batch of baby turtles. They would look so good in my swimming pool.
3 uhhh....a baby whale. I don't know the name, but I know there is one whale which is white. They look as cute as the dolphins. :)

Hmm, a clean one:P Phew. Thanks for upholding QotD version 2.0.

I will offer up TWO groups of answers.

In terms of anything imaginable/fantasy, I would want a red phoenix(a pet that never truly dies), a greyish-white deinonychus with green streaks on its back(we did say it would be tame, right?:P) and a pegasus. The deinonychus I would be able to ride on land and is close enough to the velociraptor, a dinosaur favorite since Jurassic Park. The pegasus would obviously be able to take me to the skies and be close to a horse which is also a favorite. [If I could call a mermaid or female centaur a pet, I might opt for one of those:P]

In the "real world", I would like a Bengal Tiger(simply a fav. for a big cat), a horse(breed not certain at the moment, but a fav. for running wild/riding), and...hmm...struggling with a third. Either a dolphin(for the water type) or a hawk(of some kind) for aerial recon.

Optional for the phoenix: Ash black/gunmetal color as it's a bit more earthy/relaxed than red(but most phoenixes I've seen are red anyway).

A monkey, a buffalo, a hawk

I WOULD CHOOSE THE BEAUTIFUL MOURNING DOVE AND THOUGH THEY CAN OFTEN TIMES BE "AGGRESSIVE" AT THE BIRD FEEDERS, THEY ARE A BEAUTIFUL, SOFT BIRD. WHENEVER I HEAR THEIR MOURNFUL COOING, I THINK OF MY MOTHER AND FATHER, THEY BOTH LOVED MOURNING DOVES AND USED TO FEED THEM CRACKED CORN. SO DEFINITELY A MOURNING DOVE.
