A few weeks ago, I ran into a friend at the grocery store - we met her through P/OB (our on again/off again older friends), and she actually got B his first "real" job here in California. She's a SUPER nice woman, 100% Irish which we love to celebrate, and just a lot of fun. I told her that we hadn't been out much, been out of town adn B was sick, and she mentioned that this weekend is their annual St. Pat's Day Celebration that P/OB, CeeCee and Gamble, and her and her husband always go to. She invited us to go along, and I was pretty excited.
Last night, I called P to make sure it was okay that we went, and maybe even see if she and OB wanted to walk down there with her. We havent seen them since mid-January at Gamble's 50th birthday party. I left her a message asking her how she was, and asking about this Saturday. I asked her to please call me back and maybe we could set something up.
She never called back. Sometimes I think she really doesn't like us. She's kind of shady like that - but her hubby OB is so kind and it just a big sweetheart.
I really just want to meet up with all of them again, and I wanted to share the news of our engagement. But, I don't feel comfortable just showing up, after hearing about it two or so weeks ago at the grocery story, ya know? I mean they meet a public bar - but still.
I just wanted to share the news with old friends... sigh.
