Just sitting here in sixth period, counting down the minutes until I can get out of here and start my birthday celebration! Dreamy is taking me out tonight to my favorite restaurant for Happy Hour, then dinner, then movie night of my choice! I'm so excited. I know it sounds simple to many but that's precisely what I wanted to do. He already gave me gifts... a massage certificate, a bath game, and a new wine set. Perfect! He knows me so well. I also went shopping yesterday and got some clothes and a great dress to wear tonight, and some lingerie from the semi-annual sale! All for under 100 bucks (I'm on a tight budget). It's been such a good birthday. Been so long since I could say that. I've been broken up with on my birthday before, I've been depressed and lonely on my birthday, I've been away from people.... Just so nice to actually feel appreciative and important and loved on my 25th. We also set up a great little weekend in Wine Country for our anniversary. My dad was kind enough to get us a hotel so we can use our money to buy things, wine tast, and eat great! It feels so great to not have much to complain about. I mean I still have some major issues that I need to work out but all in all I am optimistic about 2008.

I started reading your blog at the beginning. I'm wondering why your name is already jaded. This guy - Ben - sounds awesome.

Thanks, prelude, he is pretty much perfect for me! I got the name from the play "How I Learned to Drive" by Paula Vogel. I had to read it in college and the main character refers to herself as "The Already Jaded" when she is talking to a younger boy. At the time I was like Dang! That's how I feel! So I started using it as my AIM screename and it stuck. Now I look at it as I'm so young but I've already been through a lot of stuff.. i.e. married and divorced by age 24, moving across the country, etc. Thanks for reading!!
