I have been working the same –dead end- job for almost three years now!? Why have I stayed? ? ? Well because I’m able to do homework while at work, I have full access to the work computer (to type here :-D ), I know all the ins and outs of the business, and because I every lead on a job has turned up a dead end.
But today I received a job tip from a good friend of my boss. This guy didn’t intend for me to quit my current job and take his hint to fully commit to the other, but that’s my plan. Tonight, as soon as my shift ended, I made my way over to the potential new place to talk to the owner and get an app.
When I got there the boss had already gone home but one of her workers sprang out of the backroom and greeted me at the counter. The guy advanced toward me and greeted me with a welcoming handshake. … I think he read into my handshake more than I intended him to…
When he was behind his counter fetching me an app I happened to look down and saw exactly how he interpreted my handshake and my ‘hello’…
The guy got a boner?!
How the heck does that come from a handshake?!
He didn’t seem ashamed at all and I know he thought I didn’t notice.
He tried to hide it by getting close to the counter, but right before I left with my app, I stole another glance just to double check to find out if I saw what I thought I saw.
Yep I did…
