Abount Me
My name is Cindy. I am a middle age stay at home person. I never thought I would become a paranormal investigator.
My husband and I lived in San Antonio most of our lives. Four years ago we tired of the hectic pace of living there. We owned a ranch in Gonzales County but it was too far out of the small town we now live in. We sold our ranch and purchased our house here in Smiley as an estate. We moved to a rental in Nixon and proceeded to clean out the house first. I was afraid to throw anything out because I didn't know if anything of value had been left, and if it was I wanted it to go to the previous owner's family. It took us about a month of hard work to clean out the house. In this time period things started dissapearing. Small objects would also move. We really didn't think "paranormal", yet. We thought that someone may have been coming in and going through things also, so after the first few days, we put new doors and deadbolts on the door. We also put sticks in the lower windows to prevent any unauthorized entry to the house. Things still kept being moved around overnight, so we put sticks in the upstairs wimdows, just in case. It did not solve the problem, so we just "blew it off". We finished cleaning out the rooms that were imperative (all our things were stored in 3 rooms downstairs) and started painting one of the upstairs rooms for our grandaughter. She was living with us during this time period. This was the first time we had an inkling that what we were dealing with may not be "normal". Our grandaughter was a pre teen and wanted her room done in lavender and green stripes with aqua pinstriping. The room is a true hexagon shaped room and it was being done in a carousel theme. While we were painting, we would lay our brush down to go to the restroom and come back to find it across the room. We also would hear a woman talking in the room, although at the time we could not understand the words.....it was more like a hum. We heard a small child, toddler size giggling, but when we looked, we were alone. I finished the room and was standing back to look it over and all of a sudden, right behind me, i heard a woman say "this is MY kind of room". I turned around and there was no one there. I looked all through the house and found locked doors. We later found out that the previous owners wife had been an artist and we found some of her work in another bedroom. At this point I will say, the house is 3012 sq. ft., 16 rooms, so it is still a work in progress. I couldn't ignore the fact that something was going on here, so I started looking for someone to verify what was happening. Half the people in this tiny Texas town think we are nuts, the other half are sympathetic. We had an investigation done by a group from San Antonio, and yes, they found activity. Some of the activity hasn't been nice. We had a set of china thrown across the room and shattered while we looked on from the doorway in fear. After that the house was cleansed by the same group and negative activity stopped for the most part. As of today, the house is still active and we have educated ourselves on the paranormal happenings. We have done other investigations also. We refer to our spirits as "our unseen roomates". and for the most part we happily coexist with them. We are still working on the house...it is far from what we have visions for it being, but is comfortable and liveable. We enjoy "playing investigator" in our house and just hope that our spirits are happy here. When our spirits aren't happy, No one is happy. Best to all. Cindy
