Unfortunately, I see conservative and evangelistic churches of all faiths springing up left and right these days, spouting hate and bigotry and using the fear of hell and God to control the flocks and to tell them how to live.

Well Aunty Boo,
Here are my thoughts, as unwarrented as they may be! :D As long as you aren't dating him to prove anything. I personally see nothign wrong with it. I would be careful to ensure he respects your boundries and not pressure you into smoking pot too.

It's tough to remove loved one's from your life, but sometimes you do need to protect yourself. If they are not going to be loving and accepting or at least polite, it may be best to keep yourself from their company.
