 Why is sex so inappropriate?
I don't understand why this country works so hard to make people feel as if sex is some dirty, blasphemous secret. Why is violence so prevalent on television and in video games, but it's sex that's intolerable? It seems senseless to me that a policy of ignorance reigns supreme among the ideology of many. What point is there in hiding it? To protect our children who are going to find out about it regardless? Has religion successfully made people ashamed of their own natural history?

WE'RE HUMANS. WE COPULATE. IT'S NOT DISGUSTING OR DIRTY.

On a similar subject, why (aside from warmth) are clothes a necessity? It's absolutely absurd that exposing a part of the body, a part all or approximately half of the population also has, can be considered criminal. What do we have to be ashamed of? As long as you're not raping humans, animals, or exposing them to any sexual activity that he or she is not cognitively capable of consenting to, then WHAT IS THE PROBLEM? We're born naked. Why must we be ashamed of our anatomy, no matter the age group being exposed to it? If we weren't taught that it was wrong, then it wouldn't be.

I do not endorse child molestation, coercion, sexual assault, harassment, or rape. Those aren't the connotations a naked body or even sex should carry with it. There's no reason to allow deviations to charactize the sexual experience. If people participating in intercourse do so responsibly, it is truly a beauitful thing, and it should be viewed as such by people with open minds.

Rather than preaching ignorance to our children, why not educate them? Tell them what sex is and what its consequences can be. Teach them to respect it, not fear it, so that they may enjoy it to its fullest extent when they are ready to. And who are we to tell them when they're ready?

this is obviously a girl talking. well, the problem is that men need to look at something to be aroused. and men have a natural tendency to think that the younger the better. so if everyone walked naked there would be endless rape. as much as you may think that a man has self control, they do not at all. thats why porn is so huge. thats why there are millions of child molesters. thats just how men are. and no amount of education or even brainwashing will change that. just look at how small the nudist colony population is compared to child molestations. i think that is all the proof you need.

I find it difficult to believe men have no control over their hormones. We, as human beings, are the only animals who pride themselves on their abilities of logic and reason. I do not believe excuses need to be made for the male sex drive.

I also think it's important to take socialization into account when comparing the number of nudist colonies to the number of child molestors. Our society conditions men to seek out younger women and that nudity is a crime.

I think it's also worthy to note that the most commonly raped women are between the ages of 15 and 19. That is in my opinion very young, but I do not feel they constitute children. Maybe my opinion's biased by the fact that I am 19.
