 If I was...My Daydream Dozen
This was inspired by brainstormer's post:

"Ok, now that I have identified my "daydream dozen", I challenge you all to write your own. What 12 characters from any book, movie, television show or cartoon group would you be? Perhaps, mention both the one you would be by your nature(or the one most people would "peg" you as) AND the one you would choose to be. And, if inspired by other's ideas/choices, feel free to name your choice/s from that group/program/film/book as either one of your 12 or (an) additional choice/s."

If I was a vampire slayer, I'd be Damali Richards, because she's kind of like Buffy, but she's black.

If I was a vampire, I'd be Akasha, but Akasha from Ann Rice's book, not the movie.

If I was an X-Men character, I'd be Storm: from the cartoon, not Storm from the movie who was always getting her butt kicked. Who wouldn't want to be a Weather-witch?!

If I was a He-Man character, I'd be Evil Lyn, because it was SO obvious that she was smarter than Skeletor and only using him to her advantage.

If I was a Ninja Turtle, I'd be Rafael, we share the same sarcastic wit. If I were any other character from the cartoon, it would have to be April, because I am ultra nosey.

Remember Gem and the Holograms? I wouldn't be any of them, I just wanted to know if anyone remembered the cartoon.

If I could be a Disney Princess character, it would be Princess Jasmine, because she had it all, even love!

If I was a Cosby Show character I would be Rudy, because I basically grew up with her and we were a lot alike.

If I was a "Charmed" character, I'b be Phoebe, but much less slutty.

If I could be a Nora Roberts character, it would be Lt.Eve Dallas, because she is fierce!

If I could be an L.J.Smith character, it would be Lewis from the "Dark Visions" trilogy, because he had the ability to move things with his mind, and since I am lazy, that particular gift would come in very handy.

If I was a Glow Friend, I'd be Glow Butterfly because I've always loved butterflys.

If I could be a Forgotton Realms character, it would be Midnight, because I've only read 2 Forgotton Realms series, but I love them and she's my favorite female character so far.

Wow, that was tough, but so much fun. Your turn!

Uh, pretty good list:P Yes, tells a few things about you:)..cuz you made them so personal. So, you are dark and sarcastic, ay?:P Summed that up well.

I am not an avid reader, so the books mean nothing to me:)

Oh, but it's RAPHAEL and JEM(and the Holograms...including Jem/Jerrica Benton, Aja, Shana--the black drummer with purple hair, Kimber and Raya...Misfits, etc.).

I like your Buffy choice as well as Storm, Evil Lyn and April O'Neil:) Me-yow:)

Happy to inspire someone:) Thanks for taking the challenge. Feel free to remember some more choices and add to/make another list:P

Yeah, I couldn't remember how to spell Raphael and Jem, because I was so young when I watched them, and I was too lazy to look them up. I can't believe you remember all the Holograms, people look at me like I'm crazy when I talk about them.

Thanks for reading, guys!

When I first read your challenge I thought it would be too big a task to tackle. It is a very interesting challenge, but too complicated. Or so I thought. But even though I tried my best to forget about it, I just couldn’t. As it has happened so many times before, my brain started working without my permission.

I found that this was a good exercise in being honest about myself, and that can be a scary thing. But you asked for it. Though I'm not sure I did it right.

My kind of books span from historical fiction and crime, some fantacy and books that some might think I am too old to enjoy, but I do anyway.

1. As I can be a tad vendictive and petty at times, I can sometimes see myself in brother Jerome (I think it is, been a while since I read these books) in Ellis Peters’ Brother Cadfael books.

2. I would like to be as intelligent, goodhearted, wise and just as Brother Cadfael.

3. I would also like to be strong and fierce and able to handle myself like Loor in D.J MacHale’s books about Bobby Pendragon.

4. There is a little bit of J.M. Barrie’s Wendy in me. The need to tell stories and to mother everybody, given half a chanse.

5. I recognise myself a bit in Lucie in Candace Robb’s Owen Archer Mysteries. Juggeling family, work, old relatives and everything else that is thrown your way.

6. A bit of me is like the Hippo that wants to go to sleep, by Kath Smith. (I read this for my two year old daughter, not for my own enjoyment). Everybody making a racket and nobody listens to me until I snap and scream at them. And then they tell me I should have told them I wanted some quiet. Yeah, I recognice myself in her.

7. Michelle Magorian’s Goodnight, Mister Tom. I would like to be as wise and goodhearted as Mister Tom turns out to be.

8. From time to time I feel a bit like young Willie in the same book. Shy, lost and afraid.

9. I would like to be a bit like Holly in Eoin Colfer’s Artemis Fowl. Small, but to be recond with and making my own rules, when need be.

10. Coraline by Neil Gaiman. Sometimes the world does not make any sence at all, even thought it seems the same as yesterday.

11. J.K. Rowling and Harry Potter. I would like to be like Hermione. Smart, beautiful and being able to do magic.

12. Finally! I feel a bit related to the hobbits. Not because of hairy feet. Mine are quite normal, thank you very much. But I too like a cosy home, safety and warmth with friends and family. The big, strange world beyond the Shire is scary, but I hope I will be a true and loyal friend when I need to be.

Thanks for sharing, Amber! I almost listed a Harry Potter character too, but I don't think I'm like any one of them, I'd say probably more a collage of Harry, Ron and Hermione: always wanting to help out family and friends, a little lazy (although I always did my own homework, lol!), and I'd be so excited to find I could do magic, I'd study any magic books I could get my hands on! And loyal to a fault like all of them.
But also, I was going more for things from my childhood, and I was already grown when the Harry Potter series came out.

I remember Gem and the Holograms! Hmm, I wonder if you can still find them on ebay?

I'm still a kid at heart, so I thought it safe to use them. And since I'm Norwegian nobody would understand who on earth I was talking about. I guess you might know Pippi Longstocking, but probably not Knerten and Sidsel Siserk. That's my excuses for using my last 15 years of reading when taking on this task ;-)
