 Bout damn time.
So, Blizzard has finally gotten off their collective arse and given us our (current) talents. I have three words. About Damn Time. Paladins, I know, were due for a major overhaul with this expansion. It was clear that this would be the case as soon as the expansion pack was announced.

"But, Summer, you god-like piece of Paladin sexiness, what makes you say this?" You ask. Well, incase you're an idiot, or just retarded, the expansion focuses on who? The Lich King. He rules over what? The Undead. Who's the best at fighting the Undead? Paladins. And, we needed help with the massive horde of shambling bones and rotting flesh. And, so Blizzard, in their infinite wisdom deigned to help us.

This isn't going to be a comprehensive post. If you want a complete list of the massive changes we're getting, please see The Lich King Wiki .

So, first things first, my favorite addition to the Paladin line up (for Holy): Beacon of Light. We are finally getting the AOE heal that...well...we don't NEED but we wanted. And I think that's the difference with Paladins. We have everything we need. We just have a big list of wants. I wanted an AOE Heal. I wanted Holy Wrath to be Insta-cast. And you know what? Those were the only two I wanted. And I got them. If that's all that had been changed to us, I'd have been a very conent customer with Blizzard. (I already am anyways).

But while we get both of those we also got a complete over-haul in other areas........ It also means I have to change my blog layout once Lich King launches. Dammit.

Anyways, Another of my favorite additions is the new Avenging Wrath changes. Previously, when we popped our wings, our attack power went sky high. This is....sort of going to happen. Ok, I'll be honest. I love this new skill, Retadins are going to hate it with a passion.

You see, the new Avenging Wrath will no longer cause forbearance. That's a good thing. It also increases +healing by 20%, this is amazing. HOWEVER, the damage done by weapons using your wings is going to be reduced from what it is now. This is going to make Retadins that pop their wings in raids uphappy. And...if you aren't popping your wings...CHANGE SPEC'S!

So, as I said, we Healadins are going to be very happy. Protadins and Retadins aren't going to be quite as enthuzed by this.

The next piece I'm enjoying is the addition/change to some Blessings. I.E. the Hand spells. Hand Spells are like blessings, but they don't overwrite the current blessing set up. In other words, if you have...oh...blessing of Wisdom on a Priest. And for some reason he gets aggro. You want to cast Blessing of Protection but...OH NOES! It overwrites Blessing of Wisdom!

IT"S A TRAP! In the immortal words of Admiral Ackbar. Well...sorry fish-boy, not anymore Blizzard has created Hand Spells. These Hand Spells are Hand of Protection, Hand of Salvation, Hand of Freedom and Hand of Sacrifice. They do the exact same thing as the previous blessings but, because they are Hands, they do NOT overwrite the current blessing! This is going to make use very mobile in casting during raids. Believe it. Especially Salv and Freedom.

Too be Continued.
