So my Ipod is not working. I just purchased it in October and immediately downloaded almost 200 of my favorite songs. What a treat. This Ipod became my reason for smiling in the morning when I cranked up the car and did the ho-hum drive into work. One minute I was enjoying Steely Dan and with the slight touch of button, Keisha Cole was screaming over a club beat. I could switch from Marley to Maroon 5 and then over to Korn all without car commercials or sales pitches about Viagra.
Now the Ipod will not turn on. The screen is black. My oldest son was the last to use it. See, his Zune was being repaired a.k.a. REPLACED which is typical of Microsoft. Anyway, while his Zune was out of commission, he 'borrowed' my prized Ipod. He's a bagger at a local grocery store and if he's working the carts or walking to and from work, he can plug in the music and make his day a little lighter. Besides, he's a responsible young man and has all of the latest games and gadgets, so my ipod is safe! NOT!! The Sunday prior to Christmas, I had my entire family (well the nice ones anyway) over for dinner. I go to plug in the ipod and NOTHING. It doesn't come on. My son tries to reset it. Nothing. Of course, I had to rip him a new one. Go into the 'how-selfish are you, what did you do to it, it was working fine, you didn't tell me it was broken, why can't I ever have anything for me' speech.
Despite the rampage, the ipod still hasn't cooperated. I'll take it to the Apple Store this weekend. Well, life is as it was before the ipod. I don't have time to bother with CDs while in the car thus it's back to the radio and Viagra commercials.
