Boil and bubble, toil and trouble!
J warned me that there would be trouble when this fake wanna-be island girl showed up at my job. First she claimed that she only 'looked' European but was really Jamaican. She's see-through pale, has zero accent and pops pills from her 2 month supply of muscle relaxants and prescribed pain killers like it's bubble gum. And she only eats candy. When my teenage son showed up at the job he asked when did we start letting crack heads work for us? Mmmm....Then every Tuesday she called out of work and had to leave early on Thursdays. Next thing she's coming to work with one personal crisis after another usually involving her live-in bf.

I had to go out on leave and another member of my team and I decided to let island girl fill-in for me. Don't ask me why, I was 9 months pregnant and would have asked K. Fed or Elmo to fill in at that point. When I returned, my new boss had bumped my team member off of the team, promoted said 'crack-head' island girl and it eventually ended up being a very bad decision.  The girl could never be found, didn't do her duties and basically turned out to be a loud, foul mouthed employee. If she HAD been Black she would have been what we call ghetto. Did I mention she wears plastic shoes to work everyday? Big and floppy with a huge tongue ring to boot?

Now she's started a bunch of crap in the office. While she had to return to her initial duties (and corporate is already complaining about her again), boss-lady gave her some highly confidential information last week. It involved me possibly getting a new supervisor. Island girl called me and told me over the phone what was going down. She told me she was only telling me. Well, when I walked in the door on Monday she had an audience and viola! She'd told them too! Somehow my entire team found out (okay so I told one person too but only AFTER I found out that she told the others) and were all pissed off 'cause no one wanted this person to supervise them. It didn't bother me truthfully. Boss-lady was HIGHLY upset and chewed island girl out. Then check this, island girl throws me under the bus by telling boss-lady that  I WAS THE ONLY ONE SHE TOLD!! WTF. So I had to have told everyone else. That irked the hell outta me.  Why tell that lie? Just admit you told others too.

I'm not sure what's going to happen now. Boss-lady has not spoken to me about it yet however, I did apologize to the would-be supervisor that I even mentioned it to my one person. She said she appreciated it but I wasn't the one who was asked to keep the information confidential. It was island girl who broke the trust. I called boss-lady and left a voice mail a couple of hours ago but she hasn't called back. It's so childish to me because in the end, the decision about a new supervisor was going to come out TODAY anyway. So, everyone found out a day or two earlier? ARGH! I need to find a job with MEN. Women invest far too much in the drama!!

J has to do some work on the laptop. I'm going to watch Clockwork Orange and sip some green tea. I'd rather have a martini but it ain't Friday yet!
