How long should a couple wait after they've been seeing one another to get engaged? or do youeven think there IS an appropriate span of time?

		at least 3 years and dthen wait 25 before tying the knot. Sounds stupid but my youngest sis did and she thinks it was great.

		At least a year, and there should be a few times to meet each others family. There should be some understanding of where each other stand on important issues,such as,religion, finances, children, friends,education, where to live, who does what in the household. The only surprises should be small and happy ones. not like finding out he wants you to live at his mothers house, or she wants go go out with her girlfriends alone every weekend.
