Cinco de mayo is known as day of the dead, which i thinks translates to dia los muertos, but im not sure. The day of the dead celebrates the dead, and there spirtes. they usualy sell candy skeletons and other foods and decorations. familys go vist the graves of their deceased loved ones and leave food, possesions and other things that their loved on chereshed during their lifes. cinco de mayo is a very important holiday to the people of mexico.
