I don't understand...
I don't understand why my husband is trying to turn us into 85 year old people over night.  It is driving me crazy.  I am not even 50 yet and neither is he.  So what if we have had some age related health issues, they are correctable and do not mean we are over the hill just yet.

Needless to say, I am not handling the new lifestyle changes we are making.  We used to do some fun things well, at least for us.  Now, we sit in front of the tv.  Just the other day he said, "I think the news is about to come on".  What is wrong with that you may ask.  Think about it.  What do many elderly people do?  They pace their days with the news.  First, in the a.m. Second, noon.  Third, 4:00, 5:00, 6:00.  And, fourth, 10:00.  Then it is yippee, it is bedtime.  I told him that I am not pacing my life by the news.  I don't think he got it.

For the last two weeks, I have fixed a big Sunday dinner.  He wanted to eat supper at 4:00.  Hello, think about it honey.  What is it your mom says all the time?  You know, when you ask her if they have eaten supper yet.  She says, "oh, we ate a late lunch around 3:00 so, we are skipping dinner.  How can anybody live like that.  I would be so hungry by bedtime.  So, guess what?  Last night, when it was time to go to bed, I was starving.  I told my husband that I will not be starting dinner that early again.  He can sit around and pout like and old man all he wants to.  I told him that I was not going to let him turn me in to and 85 year old over night.

I want my old lifestyle back with exercise.  I believe that would have helped prevent the problems we both have experienced over the last year.  And, this brings me around to another reason for why I am not handling this so well.  I am pissed because I have been trying to get my husband to exercise for the last two years because we both know that it would be very beneficial.  He just wouldn't do it so, I had to do it by myself.  Well, now, he wants to make changes and I am suppose to be all gung-ho about them.  I can't.  I don't want to.  Yes, I will exercise but, I want my old lifestyle back.
