Is anybody afraid of death? In fact, do you even know what it means to be afraid? I think fear is tantamount to the yearning to live. What do you think?
I've always wondered what it meant to be afraid of dying, and what it even meant to die. Death is just another effacing of a soul, right? I think that it's human nature to present a strong will to live. Even those that claim that death is not as frightening as many take it to be, or that they are not afraid to die, even so, when the last minute hovers above them, and they respire their final breath, there will be a momentary longing to stay in the world. Even those who have lived the longest possible life, perhaps surpassing that of a cenetarian, or even those who have surmounted to all they have ever hoped for, completely satiated with life, would want to remain longer. It may not be apparent at first, but when you're really about to leave everything behind for eternity, I really think that it would occur to you that you don't want to go at all.
Of course I can't say the same thing about suicides. But I did read this story about these people who suicided and were sentenced to an enternity as something like harbingers, retrieving dead souls. They believed it was their punishment, but a girl--a living girl, decided to call them angels. Those who suicided were deeply rueful, and when the girl who had changed the way they saw themselves was on the brink of self-slaughter herself, they intervened instead of allowing fate to execute it's plans, as they were supposed to do. Because they knew the pain and regrets she'd face later. Predominantly, my point is to say that although it may not be true, I belief that anyone who takes their own life, if given a second chance to persue that thought, would take it back. Of course I could be wrong...

okay, good question. i feel like a stalker answering so soon... but... eh, i've been called worse. =P j/k
i'm not afraid of death. i also don't view it as most do. i don't believe in some place of eternal torment. that'd be hateful, which is completely the opposite of our most valued quality as human beings... love.
as far as fear. there are many different types of fear. and fear itself can be mixed with a lot of other feelings. everyone has their own brand.

hi sonata!
there was someone else on here that had a similar question but i don't remember who :o(
i don't believe that death is something to fear. i believe that it is just a part of life - like zits or milk that goes off in the fridge.
the life and how you live it is the important bit. :o)
cheers!
