Okay, call me “wacked out on crack” if you want too, but this is kind of
scary. I had a dream last night and it kind of coincides with what
happened at work today.
I was working for this large corporation of some sort and my boss was an
older lady. (She was kind of a bitch too) Anyways, I find myself taking my
lunch break with a few co-workers. One of them asked me if I’ve ever seen
our boss’s mansion. I told the girl that I’ve walked passed it, but I’ve
never been invited in or anything.
The girl then talks me into sneaking around her house to see just how
nice of a place it is. I agreed, because I’m always up for an adventure
and hell – lunch was boring anyways.
We walk through the back door of our boss’s house (like someone would
really leave their million dollar house unlocked) and stand in awe of what
we see before us. The place was huge and so open. Everything was so
elegant and put into place.
So the girl and I begin walking and looking around. It was her bright idea
to split up and meet back at the back door to leave. So I ended up taking
my own route through out the house. I actually had a strong feeling of
uneasy-ness. I walked into room after room and it seemed like there was
never a correct way out. I tried going up spiral stairs, then I’d reach
the top and the stairs hit a ceiling. I walked into rooms that ended up
being huge storage closets. Walls would magically turn around like lazy
susan cabinets and windows were placed inside the house, with no outside
to see.
It was like no matter where I walked too, I found myself being trapped in
bizarre areas of the house. The dream ended with me still searching for my
way out, but I don’t think I ever made it – because I woke up!
So then I come into work today, and my “real” boss Chris has a butt-load
of vacation photo albums with him. He passes them around and I ended up
picking the smaller one to go through. As I’m looking at the pictures, I
noticed he took a vacation in California to the “Winchester Mystery
House.” The photos he snapped with his camera where pics of stairs leading
to no where, storage closest that turned into an actual
rooms,etc,etc,etc….
I was kind of freaked out, because even though I lived in California, I’ve
never heard of the “Winchester Mystery Mansion.”
Googled:
A wealthy widow by the name of Sarah L. Winchester began a
construction project of such magnitude that it was to occupy the lives of
carpenters and craftsmen until her death 38 years later. The Victorian
mansion, designed and built by the Winchester Rifle heiress, is filled
with so many unexplained oddities – that it has come to be known as the
Winchester Mystery House.
Maybe I’m a lost soul from back in the day converted into who I am now? Ya
think? I don’t know – to me it’s just so strange after having such a
detailed dream, then coming to work noticing there is such a place as my
dream. If your ever bored and want to read something interesting just
Google the Winchester Mystery House story. It definitely drew me into the
true life story!
