| Gasoline stole my paycheck!
|
|
|
Have you ever just sat back and "people watched?" I dont mean become a
peeping tom or anything, but really watch the world's people pass on by in
everyday life activities?
I'm sitting at work today glaring outside (wishing I wasn't at work) when
I notice the gas station across the street from my bank is busier then
ever. So I'm guessing I got gasoline the wrong day when it was totally
outrageous. Just my luck!
But I got to thinking as I'm watching tons of cars wait in line to fill
up, and noticed something...
Gas stations all across the world change their prices all the time and of course there never low prices either. The station across the street from me, I usually see the guy come out 2-4
times to change the prices. Yet no one car-pools with others to actaully
save money or to make a STATEMENT to the damn goverment about high ass gas
prices.
Everyone likes to bitch about high cost of gas, but oh it's sOoOo much
easier to complain then to actually start a chain reaction to show "we"
the people can be in control of this situation.
If everyone continues to drive around like no bodies business, then
immidately the GASOLINE/OIL COMPLANIES continue to expand our gas prices,
because in their eyes - it's not stopping anyone from getting where they
need to go. No one is driving less because of the high cost, so shit - why
not have gas prices raise to $6 bucks or more.
"Yes Gas/Oil companies - I love it when you stick it to me!!!" (GRRR!!!)
Please,.....
I'm not saying in the least to stop driving or anything. People got to
drive to work to make money to eat and pay for more gas for traveling.
But for me - I'm frickin' tired of gasoline stealing my paycheck!!!

I do agree about these high gas prices. But people have decide to drive less or use other means of transportation. At the current momemt I'm using my bike to ride to work and so are most of my coworkers. The government in general will do anything to keep what makes them money. Government keeps a lot from it's citizens and gas wont be an issue until we have none then there will be a change. It's all about power and money. People will mostly like adapt to changes.

I try to carpool as much as possible or take public transit. I dont do it so much to save money, more to save the environment lol. And I love people watching. One of my favourite hobbies in fact :]

I couldn't agree more with your post!! Gas prices are absolutely outrageous, and untill we stand up and try to make even what may seem to be a small difference, it will do nothing but continue to get worse!

Too true. Too true. We are a nation of gripers and complainers, but not DOERS. It's a shame, really...
