the love I feel for you
is far too real to deny.
I give you my forgiveness
it’s something you deserve
whether or not you believe me
inside I know your worth.
I want your friendship
more than you could ever know
and the fact that you’ve denied it
is a pain that you bestow.
I gave you all I had
and I know you said you tried
that’s why I don’t condemn you
you gave what was inside.
You made a mistake
you’re only human don’t you know

I’ve seen it overflow.
Go easier on yourself
allow yourself to feel your merit
