| "The Many Smells of My Day" |
|
Yesterday, as I went on one of my usual walks, I smelled an awful stench. I looked a little further ahead on the trail and saw some kids smoking marijuana. They hastily departed thinking I would do something, but I just kept to myself. False Reality Their Living. I decided to leave and go somewhere more confined . I gathered the courage to start hiking off the trail and after 20 minutes of wandering unstable grounds, I came into contact with more marijuana, but this time in vast quantities.
I'm supposing some farmer had left his crops unattended because some lights were still on giving the plants their warmth and nourishment while approaching night time. I had enough drug encounters for the day and vacated the premises as if my life depended on leaving as quickly as I could.
I drove to San Francisco and found myself paying for valet parking at one of the restaurants I would regularly take Jeany... I would always order the salmon with wine and she would always get a Veggie Burger with no mayonaise, extra lettuce and extra tomatoes complete with shoe string fries. I decided to have a nice meal with myself. I ordered my salmon and I ordered her burger, just how she always asked for it.
I sat in solitude and ate very little. After another half hour I asked for the remains to be boxed up. I drove to the Tenderloin and gave a homeless man her food. Her Burger. Her extra lettuce and tomatoes..
I drove to the mall and parked in section "N' and walked and walked. I passed by Victoria's Secret and went inside. It was the first time I've been inside there without her. She always bought "Love Spell" and I loved it. To me, that is her signature smell. For some reason, I had an employee take out a box full of the perfume and had them charge it.
It was rather late when I came home and my dog was happy to see me. I went to our room and closed the door with the box in my hand. I layed down on the bed and opened it. I sprayed the mist and turned the lights off. The whole night I sprayed and I sprayed. The smell, the memory, didn't let me have my usual 4 hours of sleep.
