So I logged on last morning and immediately went to Molly’s blog for the new QOD. On her profile page, I saw she was online so I said hi. I saw that the QOD wasn’t posted till yet so I asked her how she was coming along with it. she said she was coming along fine and that she was going to pass the friggin baton to me. first words that came to my mind……. OH CRAP!
Now after I started joining in the fun of this QOD tradition, I honestly DID expect to get the baton some day or the other. Obviously right? But no way did I imagine I’d be getting it this fast! I thought I had maybe a few weeks at least to think up a killer question! But thanks to you Molly, I now had to cram all that thinking time into one day! :D
Also, I got some big shoes to fill after Anotherdaze, Hollis, Easy2Say, KP, Angelwings, Long, TonyRayHutchison, SpiritualComa, PixieRose, Smileforthecamera, GeordieDreamer, WhiteKnight, Meredith, Prelude2it, Bullseye, Mamacita, Douglas, Mandie, and the lovely LadyGodiva and of course, Katydids_and_Daisies!
Naturally, I hope I don’t disappoint. So my question isn’t really a two parter. But I think one question is kind of depressing so you guys have an option not to answer that one…
Here’s the depressing one – If you were to die doing something, what would that be?
Here’s the fun question, just because I really want to know! - If you had to be a mythical creature, what would you be, and why of course? (unicorn, dragon, sphinx, any harry potter creature, any LOTR creature, any fictional/mythological creature ever……)
and right after the wiffle balls, i knew i wanted to hear what crazy idea you'd put behind the QOD. and the "dancing with the fishes" proposal idea made me cnfident of my decision to pass the esteemed baton to NOAHSETH!!!!!!

I want to die warm in my bed sleeping as a very old lady, of course.
if I could be any mythical creature hmmm....I think I would be a phoenix because I'm a fiery one and I could come back again and again.

Hmm I think I would like to die with all the people I love around me and with lots of laughter and happy times. I want people to celebrater and laugh and dance and recall good times at my funeral. And no black clothes please :] Ultimately I want to die happy. Whatever that means.
Mythical creature?? What a toughie!! Hmm I gotta go with unicorn. No idea why just appeals to me.

I wish to die a happy old lady, warm in my bed surrounded by those I love the most in the world, my family.
Mythical creature- Buckbeak from Harry Potter. Strong and beautiful....graceful but fiery if I had to be....gliding through the air without a care in the world.... :)

i'll just get this out of the way.
i know this sounds heroic and everything. and maybe i'll wuss out. but if i were to die, i want to die saving someone else. but at my last few moments, i want to be in my lady's arms. i dont want to be afraid. and i know she'll hold me and tell me its going to be alright. and i'd believe her...
mythical creature, hands down, dragon! magical, regal, just, free spirited, wise beyond compare and they can fly!!

ok, well I am too young to think about how I want to die :) ... and when I was shopping today with my i-pod in, Robbie Williams song - (I hope I grow) OLD BEFORE I DIE came on ... and I thought I'd put that here.
Death By Chocolate would be a good one though....
Mythical creature ... what about made up animated creature ?? - I'd be Glenda the good witch from WIZARD of OZ
... oh wait I'd be TINKERBELL from Peter Pan, she was cheeky and sassy as well as magical... wasn't she??

I may be strange but if I'm going to die, I want it to be something that everybody will remember. Something that nobody's ever done before. Hmmm. Let me see.
Ok, I got it. I want to be walking down the road one day and a giant wheel of cheese fall out of the back of some truck and squash me to death. When somebody says "Hey, do you remember Noah Ryans?" the answer will be "Yea, the guy who was killed by a wheel of cheese!" I'd never be forgotten.
Mystical creature, a vampire, just so I could go around biting good looking women and it not seem as odd as it does now.

I want an epic death. I dont know something that will ae really famous like i had a heart attack while playing a solo to the masses and made sure i finished the solo before collapsing.
Mythical creature? Does hurcules count? Lol him or Aslan. And if you still say no then i would be a minotaur :)

E2S - well, i think tinkerbell was a fairy. so yeah, fairies count!
eeerm - nope, hurcules doesn't quite make it. we'll have a seperate qod about gods and demi-gods one day. but Aslan counts. minotaur definitely couonts. a minotaur playing a guitar would look bad ass man!

I would like to die suddenly, with out pain, with loosing my memory or my mind. I liked TonyRays answer, but she didn't know who she was and he only had glimps of her when she did that would be hard. So yes if I was to grow old then it would have to be like that, but I would want all my faclities too (sorry I am greedy).
I would like to be a Pegasus, or a mermaid siren.

If I have to die I want to die a hero saving other lives. While heroes are forgotten in time usually at least the death would mean something if it saved other's lives

Well I'd like to die painfree somehow. I hope it doesn't happen before my children have been good grounded adults for a good while. I don't want to live to be OLD.
I did a servey to find out my mythical creature. I know I cheated a bit but you people are stompin my brain with the off the wall questions! Anyway it said Nymph. I didn't even know what one is but here is the decription.....
Nymphs are known for being extraordinarily beautiful. Unlike other mythical creatures, Nymphs are completely unselfish and do not always realize their beauty. Because of this naivette, they are easily taken advantage of. Nymphs are quite innocent and devoted. They have one main passion in life, and devote themselves to it. As a Nymph, you are pure of heart, playful, and very free spirited.

I agree with whiteknight... When I die I want it to be in service of another life... I want it to mean something... If not then peacefully at an old age, so that I can pass everything I have on to my children and my grandchildren in the hope that I will mean as much to them as my grandfather ment to me.
as for the mythical critter... hum I honsetly do not know... I would like to be something that could feel and share love... so iwould not want to be one of a kind... I really do not know

whiteknight - we think alike my friend.
anotherdaze - nymphs were elemental spirits. they could be water, wind, earth, trees, leaves, anything that would occur in nature. and they would take a feminine form. extremely playful and naive spirits, as the description said.
Douglas - man that's the third person (including myself) who wants to die for someone else. mythical creatures that could feel and share love. dragons would qualify. so would a phoenix. they were known to be extremely emotional creatures and loyal. thought from their hearts.

How I want to die: Doing something I love like, sleeping or cuddling my man before I am old enough to go senile and/or start crapping my pants.
Mythical Creature: Queen of the Elves, then I'd be sexy, have lots of pretties and get to ride horses whenever I wanted to.

If I had to pick a way to die, it would definitely be saving someone else. But I don't really want to be remembered for it. I just want to save someone I care for.
A mythical creature, hmmmmm. The big yellow M&M guy from the commercial. I'd hangout with my best friend (Red) all the time, and occasionally get visits from that foxy lady Green. Plus, I'd get to meet Santa Claus. And I'd spread joy by giving people M&Ms. Perfect.

I don't want to die, at least no time soon so I can't even think about what I'd like to be doing when it happens. I just don't want to be scared when it happens. If I am at peace, I will be ok.
I'd like to either be a witch (a good one of course) or a vampire slayer like Buffy. She was strong, saved the world from destruction from evil, always got all of the hot guys and had the scooby gang helping her out all of the time. Sounds like a fun life filled with purpose.
